Nice hotel and good value for money

Very nice hotel, it’s one of the older complexes here but it’s looks well maintained and the rooms are excellent. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. It’s a very short walk to the town Main Street where there is nice restaurants, spa’s, supermarkets and ATMs. If you take a right out of the main entrance there’s a nice Italian bar / restaurant.

Unexpected

Over the years, I have under estimated what Bluewater Maribago can offer. We would always choose to go to Bluewater Sumilon which is a 4 hour drive from the Cebu City.
This time, we gave it a try. And we didn't regret it at all. Plus point is it's just 30 to 45 minutes drive from Cebu City.
I loved the resort with its lush greenery and the blooming bougainvilleas and their beautiful ponds.
We stayed at the Amuma Suite. We love our room with its big bathroom and its bath tub. Our veranda, overlooking the lagoon-shaped swimming pool.
We enjoyed the food at the Allegro & Delfinos. Loved the Adobo Rice and the Seafood Sinigang sa Miso. Breakfast buffet was satisfying as well. We liked it that there was taho --- the taho guy was so friendly. Waiters and waitresses were very welcoming & attentive to the guests needs. I was not able to get their names.
Had a relaxing massage at the Amuma Spa. The front desk staff (Jenmy) down to our therapists (Rose & Mylene) had a pleasant aura.
Everyone at the Bluewater Maribago personified the resort's mission statement. "Amuma".
Overall, we absolutely enjoyed our 2 night stay at the resort and we are already planning to go back very soon.

The finest resort in Cebu for value

Arrived early Sunday to enjoy the best buffet I’ve experienced not in a cruise ship - same quality and quantity. Checked into garden room overlooking pool 2nd floor corner. Huge room, excellent bedding and extremely comfortable beds. Large CR with deep soaking tub/shower with hot water. Wonderfully relaxing pool. Well maintained grounds. Very friendly staff!

Mishaps

I recently booked a 3-night stay at Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort for my family and they had a generally pleasant experience. The suite was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, and the food throughout the stay was excellent.
However, there were some frustrating issues with the front desk service. On two separate occasions, staff had difficulty locating my family’s accommodation details, which caused unnecessary delays and confusion. They also encountered problems with the breakfast buffet arrangement even though it had already been paid for in advance.
While the accommodations and dining were definitely highlights, I hope the resort improves its front desk coordination and reservation management to provide a smoother guest experience in the future.

Hot room

The place was beautiful, the staff was friendly and the food was good. The only thing that was not up to par was the airconditioning in our room, despite informing them that the airconditioning was not cold, the maintainance that checked it only said that he maxed out the settings on the remote, which didn't really do anything. It was like using a fan instead of an airconditioning unit.
