You can find much much better for the price!
So I arrived and it was fine, no problem, the reception girl was a little icy, but figured it was just me being too cheery. Anyways, the beds are clean which was nice, but that was about all I liked about the place. There is no real hangout spot, and for a solo traveller like me, that is very essential. On top of that I got sick during my stay and the fact that only two of the toilets were not clogged and filled to the brim with s**t was quite disappointing. Then of course I go to take a shower, get undressed and everything and the shower doesn't work. Then later I go to use the restroom, granted they offer toilet paper in a dispenser before you choose your stall (I didn't notice this), but after I took care of business I found out that the sprayer next to the toilet doesn't work and only one in all the men's toilets actually works with a very mild pressure, this isn't pleasing for someone who is sick. No breakfast is offered, but whatever. I try to rent a towel, but they don't offer that either. The beds are very hard and quite uncomfortable and especially if you have to spend all day in it cause you feel awful. The staff is not friendly, they are not rude either, but don't have any sort of hospitality. I gave it two stars because the bed was cleanish ( tons of white lint as if washed with paper) and the fan worked and kept room pretty cool even during the day. I've spelt in far worse and left much much happier, but it's because the price was right. Here the price is high for a mixed dorm and it's just awful overall. You might sleep here and leave just fine, and if it were any one of these things alone I wouldn't have thought twice about it, let alone actually left a negative review, but this p,ace is difficult to find for a reason and I am pretty sure it's because they changed their name from "Au Aon" to "Check-in hostel". I didn't look myself but I am willing to bet that they changed their name in order to avoid the negative connotations of past reviews. So do yourself a favor and sleep elsewhere. If you have no options before arrival, then just find a place when you get here, there are plenty around. Oh and heads up to anyone planning on diving, if you join the right scuba school, your accommodation is included. So that is definitely a good option.
