A Practical Overnight Stay at L Square Hotel
I stayed for one night at L Square Hotel. The hotel is conveniently located along the highway, making it easy to find and accessible for travelers.
My booking included a plated breakfast. During my stay, guests could choose between two breakfast options: tapsilog or tocilog. The room was equipped with a double-sized bed, and I was assigned a room on the second floor. One thing to note is that the hotel does not have an elevator, so guests need to use the stairs.
The room itself was basic but comfortable. However, it does not come with a mini refrigerator. Amenities provided in the room included bottled water, coffee, tea, creamer, and an electric kettle.
The bathroom was equipped with hot and cold shower facilities and complimentary toiletries such as a dental kit, shampoo, and shower gel.
Overall, L Square Hotel offers a simple and convenient stay, especially for travelers looking for an accessible location and basic amenities at a reasonable price.

Uncomfortable Stay
We stayed one night at L Square Hotel, Tarlac while passing through the area, as this stop was not part of our planned itinerary. We walked in late at night and were informed by the receptionist that no standard rooms were available, so we were offered Superior Room 208. The room faced the main road and was extremely noisy, with vehicle sounds clearly audible throughout the night.
As we checked in after 10 PM, we immediately went to shower but found that the hot water was not working. When we contacted reception, we were told there was no maintenance staff available and that the issue would be attended to in the morning. At 8:30 AM during breakfast, we reminded the receptionist about the issue, but when we returned to the room at 9:45 AM, we discovered that maintenance had not been informed. We eventually checked out at 10 AM without being able to shower.
There were several other maintenance and comfort concerns. The sink was already blocked upon check-in and drained very slowly. The bathroom was extremely small, with a flat floor and no separation in the shower area, causing the entire bathroom to become wet after every use. No bathroom mats were provided. The safe locker was locked and unusable, likely not functioning. Additionally, when we requested an iron, we were informed that there would be an additional charge, which was surprising as this is typically a standard facility in most hotels.
Overall, our short stay — from after 10 PM to 10 AM — was disappointing due to noise disturbance, lack of hot water, and unresolved maintenance issues, resulting in poor sleep and an uncomfortable experience. Just ok. Hotel is considerably clean. No amenities to use. Room size is small for 2 persons.

I was relieved to leave. Not in a rush to come back.
I stayed in their business suite.
The good.
Helpful staff. Quick response to concerns.
Near the city center.
Aircon/ref cooling is strong.
Good coffee/espresso.
Breakfast is ok.
Near 711.
Not hard to arrange for official receipts and other documents.
The bad.
Charges additional fees for early check-in.
Front desk has no aircon.
Some staff are unfriendly and unsmiling.
Hot water is difficult to control.
Location is right beside a busy highway.
Area is a bit far from malls and nicer restaurants.
Noisy rooms. No sound proofing.
Rooms are spartan and lack polish.
Dusty rooms.
Rooms don’t have privacy signs for the doorknobs.
Drains are clogging.
Uncarpeted floors.
