Relaxing Place
We were trying our luck to find a relaxing place away from the city. We didn't want to do the usual routes via the north or south expressway, so we had decided to explore the eastern part of Metro Manila.
We found this place via the tripadvisor so, without any advance reservation, we tried contacting them via their FB messenger. We got an immediate reply and luckily, there was an available room for us.
True to its company website, the place offered a breathtaking view of the Laguna de Bay and Sierra Madre mountains. It was so nice to just chill-out and appreciate the beauty of nature. But what stood out for us (aside from the amenities) was their service. It felt like we were staying at a family friend's resort and we were treated as VIPs. The food was superb - one order of pancit canton (a delicious family recipe) was good for 3 and their the pizza was also huge! We spent the late afternoon singing our hearts out (aka karaoke) until our vocal chords got tired. We enjoyed the rest of the night over cold bottles of beer in their lovely garden while listening to soft piano music.
It was a weekend well-spent. And to think that the place was just 1 1/2 hours away from our place in Quezon City (without traffic). Shout out to these wonderful people who had made our stay very memorable : James (resort manager), Parson and to the rest of the crew.
I highly recommend this place for a stress-free weekend getaway!

Forgotten Rizal
We went Rizal as our trip foe Batangas Cavite and Taal was cancelles due to the Taal eruption.. Instead we visited Rizal.. We went to Bakasyunan for a day tour and decided to stay at Rocca de Garda cause of its review. The place is around 30mins from Bakasyunan. We arrvive late at Rocca De Garda and property staff was very courteous. The place located in hilltop. A subdivion near morong. We got the place all for us. Only a couple and our family was in the area. The place is great to unwind for the weekend. You need a car to get here. A good place for event like family gathering party and wedding.
The venue has a great view. This is where urban and rural life meet cricket chripping the rooster crows and while you can the busy road from below. You can see the Laguna de Bay from their black garden. There are four hammock to use when star gazing at nite. A swimming pool to use.
The black garden ia open until 2am. Resto is open untul 8pm. A billard table for rent at Php150 is available. Free breakfast was suitable... Just hope brew coffeee be included for breakfast... Can be bought at, php100
