A disappointment
This is now called the Oasis hotel.
The property is undergoing renovation and the grounds look nothing like in the photos. It is basically a construction zone.
We felt the proprietor was not being upfront about cost of the rooms. We booked at the last moment. Initially we were told that the only room available was a "VR" with a bed and sofa bed (we wanted 2 beds). When we arrived and discovered it was a large RV we declined and miraculously another room with 2 beds was available but for a higher price... That room was satisfactory although there was no hand soap in the washroom and no coffeemaker or kettle. We felt it was overpriced and that we were misled..

The amenities listed on the Booking Confirmation were not provided.
When arriving, we were asked to sign a contract listing liabilities for any damage. When we asked for a copy, we were told we could not have one.
Booking confirmation stated check-in time at 3:00 pm. When we arrived at 3:00 pm, we were told the room will not be available until 4;00 pm.
Booking Confirmation stated the room would have a balcony and a view of the lake. The room provided did not have a balcony, and the window looked at the wall of an adjacent building 6 feet away.
The room was suppose to have a dining area and dining chairs. The room did have these.
The room was suppose to have WIFI available. We were told that he could not or would not give us the password.
The Confirmation states that prepayment is not necessary. We were charged for the room several days before we arrived.
An implied amenity is that the room will be clean. The room provided was/is very dirty, and old. The linen has stains on them, as well the floor. The room smells very badly, especially the bathroom.

Just keep driving
This was the worst place I've ever stayed. I booked on booking.com as it had nice photos and a nice write up. the room, in particular the bathroom was dirty. I arrived, told them I had reservations for 2 rooms under my name and she took payment from my card. In the morning I received an email from booking.com that I was being charged for a NO SHOW! While i am IN THE ROOM! I went down to rectify and they tried to rip me off!!! I paid $196 for the rooms we used, and now I am being charged $250 for the booking.com rooms and they only want to refund me $171, telling me that I received an upgraded room (what a joke) and have to pay the difference plus all the taxes etc. I DONT THINK SO! I have had to call booking.com to rectify this and they are working on it now, but meanwhile I am out over $50 and it wasn't my error. They were very rude and I was told to "JUST GO"

Horrible service
I called this place at about 10pm on a Tuesday night. The woman on the phone quoted me a rate of $65, so I made a reservation and told her we would be there in an hour. When we arrived at 11pm, she asked if we wanted an $85 or a $95 room. I told her she had quoted us a room at $65. She tried to justify the $20 jump in price by saying there were taxes on top (and got very sassy with me in the process). I questioned how 15% taxes added up to $20 and she just said "look, it's not too late - you don't have to stay here." But of course, at 11pm, it was too late - we had already by-passed the other inexpensive motels and just wanted to go to bed, so we stayed there.
It's what you would expect out of a $65 motel: old furnishings from the 70's/80's, stained carpets, crappy shower, etc. But not what I would expect out of an $85 room. The only good thing I would say about the room is that it didn't stink like a crappy old motel. I would not stay here again, most of all to not be subject to that woman's attitude and disrespectful treatment.
