Quiet, central, comfortable and nice place to stay at!
Amazing place to stay in Cafayate. A block away from the main plaza. Close to a supermarket and panaderia (bakery). The room my friends and I stayed at was very clean. It had a bathroom inside the room. The beds were orthopedic and the pillows were very comfortable. The room had a tv and a closet were we put our bags in. The hostel is owned by a lovely lady - Andrea who was always nice, caring and willing to help around the city/ information about the area.

Propably worst in Cafayate
Muy muy....mal!!!!!!!!!
Don't stay here! It's a health risk.
Mold everywhere!!!
When we first arrived, immediately we recogniced the weird smell. It was also weird that our privat room was very warm and smelled wet. But the hostel looked quiet clean so we didn't think bad at first.
We planned to stay there for 6 nights but went after two because we both started to feel sick. (Besides allegical symptoms we couldn' breath well, bad throat, headache, bad stomace.... so of course we also couldn't sleep at all!) It was just horrible!
We started to think it could be mold, so searched the walls and we found a lot of wet spots all over the house. (Pictures)
Again don't stay there it's a health risk!
We told the host that we want to leave because of that and she told us she is aware of the wet spots. Apparently they had a pipe burst. Well in our opinion the roof is just leaking because there are no upper rooms.
So the host knows about the problem and still rents the rooms, even when she is aware of the wet walls and the mold. In oure opinion it's just irresponsible!
Of course we didn't got our money for the other 4 nights back but better loose the money then risk your health! Also the host wasn't interested in our feedback at all. She just doesn't care.
After a few hours in our other hostel we felt better so it's definitly not a cold!!!

Horrible experience, go somewhere else!
We had 2 nights booked at this hostel in December 2016 and had to cancel the second night since the owner decided (without informing us) to start a huge refurbishment of the property.
On the afternoon of our second day,we came back from a wine tasting tour and the roof of the corridor outside our room was down, carpenters were working and the entire place was covered in dust.
Everything inside our room was covered in dust, bed, backpacks and our full bag of clean clothes picked up from the laundry the same morning.
We didn't received any explanation or apologies from the owner for the massive inconvenience and when we asked for an explanation we were offered our second night money back and we where asked to leave the property in a pretty rude way.
On top of this ridiculous experience, the room was extremely hot and the bathroom very old and small with the shower over the toilet.
The hostel facilities are inexistent.
The hostel allow pets, but it doesn't specify that the owner has a dog that poo and pee in the only small common backyard.
The dog was also barking the entire first night-we love dogs but this is highly unfair.

Lamento su experiencia, en la Hostería, pero progresar implica que en los cambios POSITIVOS SEAN VISIBLES y que nuestros clientes vean las mejoras.
A Ustedes se les explico que estábamos en construcción y como no se sintieron cómodos, SE LES DEVOLVIO EL DINERO para que buscaran otro hostal.
Gracias por tus criticas, ahí es donde empesamos a CRECER PARA MEJORAR.
Mi puntaje en otras paginas como Booking Hostelworld y Airbnb son MUY BUENAS!

Disappointing
We booked this place because of the low price. Even in this mood, we were very disappointed. The lobby (family's dinner room) was full of cigarette smoke...and this is the breakfast place! The room we had (room nb1) was clean but also smells cigarette. The room was really dark and small. Very tiny bathroom (shower above the toilets without any separation). The mattress were not flat and the pillow really hard.
In the end we could not really sleep since the place (the family) was noisy: for instance high music all day long in the patio, we had to ask that they turned it off in the evening (11 pm).
Breakfast for 25 additional pesos but not worthy.
Finally the lady was globally nice but nothing exceptional compared to all the comments we had seen before getting at the hospedaje.
To conclude, we deeply suspect other comments to be fake.
In the end we could not really sleep since the place (the family) was noisy: for instance high music all day long in the patio, we had to ask that they turned it off in the evening (11 pm).

Estadía agradable y muy buena atención!
Nos quedamos con mi novio dos noches,en marzo de este año. La relación entre el lugar, servicios que ofrece y el precio es adecuada. Tiene una excelente ubicación, a una cuadra de la plaza. Personalmente, lo que más valoro en un hospedaje es sentirme cómoda y la amabilidad de los anfitriones. En ese caso, la dueña fue siempre muy atenta y simpática! Conoce el lugar y los alrededores muy bien, así que también nos sirvió de guía turística! Muy recomendable.
