Not worth the money

We booked this motel on a whim it was getting late and we were heading to all the springs in the area the next day. There is nothing in this area. The Google reviews were decent enough so we went with it. First, just let me say if you’re not tech, friendly and elderly person nor have a smart phone you will not be able to make a reservation book or check in. After Colleen, the number, she made me go online and make a reservation. Then once I got there, I had to enter all of the information drivers license, credit card number, etc. via text. Then once everything was settled, and of course payment was made of $208 for one night, we got a code to get into our room. Apparently the office is under construction well there was no office that was seen and there was no person. However, a nice man came by after we pulled up and gave us the information of what we needed, but he was not the office or front desk. If you want food snacks, you better get it before you get there because none of this is available. This is not a marina. It is a property that is on the river. That has a very nice dock that have kayaks. That’s it. None of the pictures on here are what it looks like today. It needs a lot of work. The yard has not been mowed, which is a lot of grass and quite some time.
Now to get to the room if you want just somewhere to lay your head for the night that’s all you’re getting. There were four dead bugs in the room two were quite huge, but I guess at least they were dead and not crawling on us the floor, which was not carpet, had my socks looked like they had been walking in the road. The room we stayed in which had a nice little balcony but they are all ground floor so there basically a back porch, needed a lot of attention, the baseboards, the floor, the nooks and crannies and the things that you can see need a lot of cleaning and have a lot of attention. I can’t speak for it in the other rooms I only stayed in one. I’m sure at one time this was really a nice place and it can be again. It just needs a lot of little attention to detail, but for the price it was definitely not worth it

Great amenities, clean grounds and newly updated rooms. Beautiful view of the Suwannee River and huge oak trees.

I had high hopes for this place, especially after seeing it featured on Motel Rescue, but unfortunately, the experience fell short.
The room itself was clean, which I appreciated, but there was a noticeable mildew/musty odor that made it uncomfortable to spend much time inside. The riverfront setting is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but the grounds need significant upkeep. There were cobwebs throughout, and many of the outdoor furnishings looked either unsafe or unused for quite some time—I didn’t feel comfortable sitting on them.
One of the more confusing aspects of our stay was the lack of a proper check-in process. There was no office, and the only person initially available to help us was a contractor who had just demolished the office building. He eventually flagged down some staff members driving by in a golf cart, and they checked us in that way. This situation could have been much smoother with clear communication ahead of arrival.
Our room did include a small deck, which was a nice feature and offered a bit of relief from the indoor smell. However, it also had cobwebs and signs of neglect, which made it hard to fully enjoy. While it technically overlooked the river, the view was quite limited.
The highlight of our stay was dinner nearby at Suwannee Belle Landing—I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.
Overall, with better maintenance and clearer communication, this property could be a much more enjoyable place to stay.

This is an older motel that the owners have really fixed up. Rooms clean, beds new and clean, bathrooms redone and clean. Great little deck for sitting just outside your room. Fridge and microwave in room. Only downside—— no counter space in bathroom, one electrical outlet at beds, 1 dresser with tv on it so little counter space there. They need the tv on the wall to give a little more space. Beautiful spot on the river!
