Scrumptious

Having read the latest reviews we did not have very high expectations however, we were so very wrong. The waitress was extremely helpful and polite but the food was absolutely delicious. Four of us ate dinner and everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed it and we all left empty plates. The food was fresh and piping hot and delicious. Thank you, would not hesitate to return

Rude horrible manager

Went with my grandchildren for food
Waitress was helpful and polite
However the manager Steve was awful so rude we could hear him swearing at the top of his voice at staff in front of customers such bad language some waitresses in tears after him bellowing at them poor things and in front of our grandkids i was horrified!!!

Rude manager

After spending a lot of money on food and drink for friends and children, were were saddened that we felt like we had to leave at 5pm this evening due to the rudeness and arrogance of the manager who kept complaining that our children were too loud whilst playing in the play area, I will look to avoid this place in the future, as an extra I will be discouraging people in and around HMS Raleigh and Torpoint from going near this place due to my experience here.

Disappointing Service and mediocre food

A friend and I decided to go out for a treat on Sunday evening. We arrived at the Carbeile Inn and were shown to a table very quickly.
The waitress brought the very limited menu and advised that on Sundays, the options were really only the carvery or a few basic choices. (Scampi, ham & chips, burgers)
I opted for the carvery, while my friend asked for a cheese burger. While placing her order, my friend was rather rudely reprimanded by he waitress for advising of a food allergy! I was so taken aback with her sharp, patronising tone that I was speechless.
Once the burger arrived, it was ok but the chips were not heated through and sparse. My friend commented about the meagre portion but was again spoken to bluntly. My roast was very nice. Warm rather than hot but tasty and plentiful.
The whole experience was not particularly pleasant and very overpriced for fairly basic food. The drinks were also expensive.
We will not be returning soon and I will not recommend the Carbeile to others until the service and food improves.

Overpriced and angry male owner

Very nicely decorated and friendly waitresses. We were served by ‘Bethany’ ? Very helpful and a credit to the pub. The food was hot and arrived in good time but was overpriced. The atmosphere was ruined by a man who was busy being bossy and shouting at staff. We presumed him to be the owner. We wont be returning.
