Unexpectedly lovely

We spent two nights at this small gem of a hotel
The room was very comfortable; the breakfasts were marvelous, and there are good dinner options only a few steps away.

Enjoyable Stay

Much enjoyed our 1 night stay at Kar's hotel.
The room was very comfortable with beautiful view of the castle.
Everything can be done by foot, going to town, the cheese shops, the restaurants and the castle.
The hotel manager was very helpful and courteous.
Breakfast was very good

Comfortable cosy hotel

This is a beautiful hotel located in a restored Russian era building. Most of the staff only speak Turkish but is adept at using Google Translate. Our stay was very comfortable. Kars is a quaint cosmopolitan city with Armenian churches, a Sejuk castle, Ottoman mosques and Russian era buildings. The hotel is very well located, tucked away at the end of city's main road. It is surrounded by great eating places and shops of honey and cheese. There is adequate night life in the area. We were able to watch Kafka dance one of the evenings. They serve a fantastic breakfast that allows sampling of local cheeses and honey. Kars is the place to buy cheese and honey. Ask the staff they helped us with this.

A little gem

A little gem of a hotel on a grand old house, with super comfortable rooms, stylish decor and delicious breakfasts. Very convenient location. Mehmet, the manager, is very helpful.
The front rooms can be a bit noisy, but more of them are at the back.

Fantastic stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

We highly recommend staying at the Kars Otel. We were greeted by Seda (hospitality) & Metin (very helpful with everything.). Manager Mehmet oversaw that everything was to our liking. Deniz managed our wood burning fireplace daily. Our room was spacious, comfortable & Super clean. Breakfast was full of local yummy treats, staff made great recommendations where to go & made reservations for dining. We were treated well everywhere we went. Thank you for a great stay. We highly recommend Kars Otel.
