Beautiful
Beautiful hotel. We have been here as a family and the little ones had a great time as much as the older ones. Wonderful pool areas. The buffet had everything, spacious and very comfortable rooms. Special mention to Pedro from maintenance who was attentive at all times if any problem arose he was there to solve it quickly and to Milagros the head of reception who assisted us with incredible kindness and made our stay wonderful. Highly recommended.

Nos alegra enormemente saber que disfrutaron de una estancia en familia y que tanto los pequeños como los mayores pudieron disfrutar de nuestras instalaciones, especialmente de las zonas de piscinas, así como de la variedad del buffet y del confort de nuestras habitaciones.

€86 for Three Hours of Chaos – Bakour La Manga Splash
There are some holidays where you return home feeling relaxed, refreshed and slightly disappointed that you have to go back to work.
And then there is Bakour La Manga Splash.
We decided to treat the family to a half-day pass to use the hotel facilities, including the swimming pool and water slides. Four people. Three hours. €86.
At this point, you might reasonably expect a swimming pool, a few slides and perhaps some evidence that someone, somewhere, had recently discovered the concept of cleaning.
You would be wrong.
To say the hotel hadn’t been cleaned would be an understatement. It looked as though the cleaning staff had been given the day off and then, for reasons unknown, nobody had thought to tell the guests.
The pool area was filthy, and the general cleanliness was frankly shocking. But the real entertainment began when we ventured onto the water slides.
My 8 year old son and 4 year old daughter were using the slide when the attendant, whose primary responsibility appeared to be ensuring that nobody died, had apparently decided that a short nap was a better use of his time.
As my children came down the slide, another person was allowed to enter before the slide was clear and promptly slammed into both of them, resulting in them banging their heads.
Thankfully, they were okay, but the experience completely destroyed their confidence. They didn’t want to use the slide again.
And who could blame them?
It’s difficult to convince a 4 year old that water slides are enormous fun when their previous experience has involved being used as a human crash barrier.
You might think that was enough excitement for one afternoon.
Apparently not.
We were then told that everyone had to leave the pool because of the possibility of a thunderstorm.
Now, I understand the need to take thunderstorms seriously around swimming pools. Nobody wants to see a guest turned into a human lightning conductor.
The slight problem was that the thunderstorm never actually arrived.
So, having paid €86 for a three-hour experience, a significant chunk of our already limited time was removed because of weather that, rather impressively, never appeared.
I appreciate that the weather isn’t the hotel’s fault.
But cleanliness is.
And safety is.
And ensuring that a slide attendant is actually watching children use a water slide is, I would suggest, rather fundamental.
€86 isn’t exactly pocket change for a family of four, and by the end of the afternoon we felt thoroughly disappointed and, frankly, ripped off.
What should have been a fun family afternoon turned into an experience involving filthy facilities, questionable safety procedures, frightened children and considerably less swimming than we had paid for.

The “Splash” bit is certainly accurate.
For €86, we were expecting a splash. What we got was more of a spectacularly expensive soaking.
Would we return?
Absolutely not.
Unless, of course, the next visit comes with a hard hat, a bottle of disinfectant and a refund.

Connivance location to beach area and mar minor, cafes and shopping is walking distance. I prefer hotel over renting an apartment. Same price without the headache of cleaning, room service is available every day. Highly recommended for the L manga fan

Great place on the end of La Manga. Close to the Mediterranean beach and very close to the port, where you will find an outstanding sunset and pretty good food options.
Great pool, although they allows people from outside (even after dozen of signs stating that was forbidden, I found non guests there.
