The pitching of the tent was dirty disappointing at our camping spot on the field Rose Wheel. The surface consists of grass concrete tiles. For the many campers that are parked here this is probably better against sinking, but with a tent it is a drama. Standard pegs are immediately bent and it takes a lot of force to secure the tent. Luckily I had rock pens of my own. The park brings these tiles on the website as a comfortable renewal, but there is no clear warning that this is absolutely not suitable for tents without heavy rot sharing and a good hammer. The plumbing on Rose Wheel was a big flaw; it will soon be a spider palace and a water ballet. We therefore had to divert to the Eckse Waard to shower properly. The indoor pool and the Mauk Splash, on the other hand, are very nice, although the park really lacks an outdoor pool as an addition. What greatly displeased us and what we find life-threatening, is the situation at the lake. The water depth flows into an unwise depth in no time, and that even before the belijning.Toss we found the park very expensive. The prices in the hospitality industry are hefty and the children's activities come with high extra costs. For example, a bingo card costs €10,- per person, after which there are very sad prices. This is really not possible for a park of this level. Despite all the good reviews beforehand, this was for us once and never again.

Wat jammer om te lezen dat uw verblijf, ondanks de positieve punten die u noemt, niet aan uw verwachtingen heeft voldaan. We begrijpen dat de halfverharde ondergrond op het Rozenwiel minder geschikt kan zijn voor een tent. Uw feedback over het duidelijker vermelden hiervan nemen wij dan ook zeker mee.
Ook uw opmerkingen over het sanitair nemen wij serieus en zullen wij intern bespreken. Wat betreft de waterdiepte van het recreatiemeer begrijpen wij uw zorgen. Helaas hebben wij geen invloed op het natuurlijke verloop en de diepte van het meer. Uiteraard vinden wij veiligheid rondom het water erg belangrijk en proberen wij gasten hier zo goed mogelijk over te informeren.
Uw opmerkingen over de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding van onze horeca en activiteiten nemen wij eveneens mee. Fijn om te lezen dat u het binnenzwembad en Mauk Splash wel als positief heeft ervaren.

Super child unfriendly!!
Outrageous we arrived here in the holidays and there were very few people so we went swimming here once, after 1 hour driving with 2 children in the car they knew to tell us that we can not swim even though this is on their website you have to stay here in high season! There were 15 cars in the parking lot!!!!! Outrageous!!

Tijdens het hoogseizoen is ons zwembad uitsluitend toegankelijk voor gasten die op ons vakantiepark verblijven. Dit staat los van de drukte op de parkeerplaats of het aantal gasten dat op dat moment daadwerkelijk in het zwembad aanwezig is.
Wij vinden het jammer dat deze informatie voor uw komst niet duidelijk genoeg naar voren is gekomen. Uw feedback hierover nemen wij mee, zodat we kunnen kijken hoe we dit nog duidelijker kunnen communiceren.

We were with two families and two vans at Eiland van Maurik and rarely experienced such an inflexible and unwelcoming campground.
Since there was almost continuously bad weather during our stay, we set up pavilions so that we, and especially our children, could sit, eat, and spend time together without getting wet. The pavilions were professionally and securely fastened with straps and ground anchors.
Shortly after the setup, a park ranger appeared and informed us that these were prohibited "party tents." When we inquired where this was specifically defined, no one could provide a clear answer. Neither in the information nor in the terms and conditions is it explained what is considered a party tent. Nevertheless, they insisted uncompromisingly on dismantling them.
Particularly disappointing was the complete indifference towards our situation. No one cared that without the weather protection, communal meals were impossible and the children were standing in the rain. Every attempt to find a reasonable solution was blocked. Neither a concession nor a rebooking to a fixed accommodation or a price reduction was even considered.
The regulations regarding the positioning of vehicles were enforced with a pedantry that we have not experienced at any other campground. Several guests had to dismantle their setups and rearrange everything again.
Our impression: Here, rules matter more than people. Instead of hospitality, one experiences control, rigidity, and a lack of customer orientation. Anyone looking for a family-friendly campground with understanding staff should seek another accommodation.

I feel ripped off
I'm so incredibly sad because of how I've been treated by you. A morning swim with my autistic son ended in costs of 25€ because first of all the costs on the website were not well stated. I contacted the reception but no they could not help it, the website was updated shortly after but I have a screenshot of it. Then we are because I can't run very fast because of my illness max 2 minutes late at the barriers (there is also NOWHERE mentioned that you pay a full hour if you don't stand for a whole hour) May I just pay €10.50 to drive out. Called reception again, no can do nothing. This just feels like pure scams and taking advantage of your customers. I will never come back here, which makes me very sad because our son loved it a lot but I feel so ripped off.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed
We stayed at this campsite in April and were very disappointed overall.
The sanitation was a big problem: There was no soap or towels in the toilets. This meant you couldn't wash or dry your hands properly. In addition, the buildings were not heated, which was really uncomfortable with the low temperatures – in the evening it was extremely cold there.
For children the place is basically fine: The football pitch and play areas are well designed. However, the indoor area (bowling, bowling, games, etc.) looks very dark and uninviting. If you like this “arcade flair”, you might feel comfortable here – for us it was rather uncomfortable.
Another criticism is the electricity costs, which are billed separately and in our view quite expensively – we did not find that appropriate.
There are lots of ducks running around the grounds. This may seem nice at first, but leads to the meadows being heavily polluted. Everywhere there is duck droppings, which you inevitably carry into the awning and into the camper van – that is not possible for us.
Conclusion: Due to the lack of hygiene in the sanitary facilities and on the site as a whole, we unfortunately cannot recommend this campsite.
