Delicious food

We had booked a gastronomic four-course dinner.
The dishes were indeed of gastronomic quality. The price/quality ratio is spot on.
The service was extremely friendly and relaxed.
The wines were excellent, matching the dishes.
The only downside was the paper napkins. That doesn't suit such a location and such a dinner.

I can’t praise this place enough. Stayed as apart of our European Road Trip during the heatwave and this place was exactly what we needed after a long day exploring Maastricht. We had the superior room (the largest double that wasn’t a suit) it was decorated perfectly, mix of modern and historic works great.
The whole building is so picturesque!
A/C in the room was awesome, think this was a new addition? - if i have to be picky, the A/C was noisy when we arrived but the dripping/tapping noise soon faded into the background, it stopped later in the night too!
Also the bed was two single beds pushed together with two separate single mattresses, one was on wheels (Wooden floor!) - I sat, i fell straight between them! Wife found it hilarious, me not so much but on the whole, it wasn't a problem. The ambient lighting above the bed was also only half working but again not really an issue for us.
Parking - theres plenty, both inside and just outside the grounds. We didn't use the restaurant but it seemed very popular.
Overall highly recommend! A hidden gem and will be back again some day, but will try and book the suit next time!

The setting is stunning. The staff very friendly and helpful.
We ended up having a change of plans and instead of dealing with cancellation and rebooking, they just moved us on the calendar. We had a great evening sitting under the stars having food, a beer and conversations. Waiter Dion is an absolute treasure !!

Very nice hotel with relaxing surroundings. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is lovely and the breakfast provides a very good start into the day. Parking is no problem at all. We hope to come back.

Standard room not recommended

We stayed for 3 days in the box. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Stock. Even the steep staircase is a challenge for the elderly. The room was impossible. A double room with only one seating. The other must either lie down or sit on the bed. No closet, no luggage rack. You have to live on the floor out of your suitcase. One side of the double bed was under the sloping roof, so you had to bend over and torment yourself. You can't. In the bathroom as well, no towel hooks, no shelf. The shower bottles were on the floor, as also no shelf in the shower. The bed was quite ok, but we also found hair, likewise the cape machine was still from the previous guest and not cleaned. Besides, it's very dark, you always had to turn on the lights. Also the cleanliness throughout the hotel left much to be desired. We cannot recommend the "normal" room. I can't judge what the other rooms are like.
The location is very nice, as is the terrace where you can eat and drink. The staff were friendly.
