Great Location Next to Cruise Port/Passenger Terminal Amsterdam

Had a nice stay at the Movenpick hotel. It is right next to the cruise port and the Passenger Terminal in Amsterdam (PTA). Clean rooms, comfy beds, very spacious, great location with great views (depending on room) it made for the perfect stay right before our cruise.
You are a short walk from the Muziekgebouw station that takes you directly into Amsterdam's Centraal Station and from there you can connect to other parts of the city, the Netherlands and Europe.
Customer service was kind just not "warm and fuzzy"; however, staff is very helpful and professional.
Convenient location for cruise stays; however, it's a great property for any stay.
The restaurant staff is very kind and accommodating. There are additional restaurants and entertainment nearby and a popular Jazz club, Bimhuis, is a 5-minute walk away. Shows almost daily with local and international talent.
Overall, it is a property I would stay in again. Definitely recommend!

It's a bit of a distance to get to the old town on foot, but the location is decent.

Amsterdam was also the finish line for the 14-day trans-European river cruise from Arles, France, up the Rhône and then to Basel, Switzerland, up the Rhine. I used it for the night in Amsterdam. It takes about 5 minutes by car from the Hauptbahnhof and is a little distance from the old town on foot, but it is a good location for sightseeing. It is located at the end of the port area, so it is a shame that there are no restaurants or bars around for a night out. We checked in around 16:00 after sightseeing in the old town from morning. I immediately went out to dinner at Café Americain, so the hotel itself doesn't look so good. I used a twin room with a river view , but it's a clean room, amenities are normal, and I don't think there's anything wrong with staying a few nights in a tourist-friendly setting. Unlike the modern exterior, the lobby has a calm atmosphere like a study.

The receptionist was so kind. She upgraded our room after we told her our luggage was lost. Excellent sevice!

Great hotel and staff so friendly and professional.
Sea view room was excellent, but pillows too soft.
Only 25 mins walk along the riverside from Central Station to hotel.

This hotel was in a good location from the cruise ship port. Also, godd proximity to the train station.
