Comfy bed, clean
I stayed in the 1st room on ground floor: it had fresh paint, new tiles in bathroom, more hot water & water pressure than usual. Quiet except for the morning roosters from neighbors. Very comfortable bed, not too hard, not too soft.
I smelled the wood treatment another person mentioned, (on another site) but although I am often quite sensitive to scents (I hate “aroma therapy”), I got used to this quickly & it didn’t bother me.
Off main road so almost no traffic noise. Fan & air con work. I believe some rooms have some type of kitchen equipment, mine did not.
Convenient: 5 min. Walk from bus stop Ctr. Piste. 5-7 min , 50 $M taxi to Chichen Itza.
The pool is small and had leaves floating in it, but nice to cool the feet.
Not much contact with host. One small window does not lock, but I think the place & town is very safe. The on site staff that I met seemed to speak only Spanish but we got by with my very weak Spanish.
I said price was mid-range but I don’t understand hotel pricing, especially in Mexico. I have paid $10 and $80, this at 30’s seems quite worth it.
