Tiny Simple Nice Hotel in Kurume-Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan
We stayed -myself & my daughter- for almost 12 nights. Staff are very polite and very professional. Just few of them who can speak little English but understand most, when they would like to confirm they translate it on their smartphone into English so you can confirm. As a Japanese tradition, when you enter the Hotel or Home, you take out your shoes and leave it in the Shoes Room and wear a soft slipper instead to move around.
Hotel is VERY CLEAN, housekeeping is very serious in cleaning the rooms and change the Towels every morning. Also they change the the bed sheets every 2 days. Our room is overlooking the main entrance located on the 2nd floor (3rd in Japan as they count Ground floor as 1st Floor). The hotel is Ground & 2 other floors with a total of about 20 or so rooms, some are single, some are double & some Japanese style are triple or quad room.
Our room is designed to be a Single Room and they just added another Single bed, so moving inside the room is not easy. It is good if you are outside the hotel for the day and come back at end of day. Room has a small fridge and small LCD TV (22"), with all local Japanese channels. A Japanese tradition is to use ONE Single Slipper to enter the Bathroom or Toilet Area, i.e. you take out your slipper and use the Bathroom Slipper. Bathroom is just an Aircraft type toilet with added Japanese shower tub. It is very tiny to move around, Door opens to outside (due to lack of space), faced by toilet seat & washing sink just above & adjacent. Then the bath tub is very deep and not full size, Japanese used to fill with HOT water & stay inside to relax, but of course they should have a very flexible human body to get fully covered with water inside the tiny tub. Please review the photos. The water mixer used for the shower is the same for the washing sink. One side you control the Temp and the other knob (front & back) you control the water flow outlet.
Room Air Condition is very good, efficient & very silent. Light fixture is a very advanced LED Light system that you can control the light intensity by remote control and also you can change color from Bright White to Yellow (they call it Lunch Light). The room is good for a single person but very TIGHT for 2.
A big supermarket called BIG (AEON) is just less than 150 meters away where you can buy any grocery, fruits, vegetables, frozen, semi cooked and cooked food. We usually buy Fried Fillet Fish (85 Yen for a piece of 120 grams) or fried Jumbo shrimps (85 Yen each). Also a lot of Japanese style cooked food are there aside from the Sushi.
At the end of the corridor on my floor, there is a Living Room, with a lot of Japanese Books & Magazines aside from a Fridge, Microwave Oven, small Kitchenette with tools to use. Also soft drink vending machine is there.
Internet connection used to be very good, excellent speed with a very good range (I turned my mobile data Off in my phone to avoid Roaming charges and using WiFi instead), when I just stepped out the Supermarket (more than 150 meters away, I just received my emails & messages after automatic connection to my hotel. It happened one day that they were fixing Phone Lines & Internet was very slow as if the outside service provider was off or slow, but otherwise, everything is OK.
Room Selection: If you can manage to walk up with luggage so it is OK. In my case I am an old person with huge luggage as traveling for more than 2 weeks with my daughter, it was not easy for me to climb up while other rooms were full.

アットホームな雰囲気で、仕事での利用でしたが、快適に過ごす事ができました。
特に、後半5泊ほどは仕事の都合上、夜出て行き朝帰って来るという生活でしたが、食事の時間等を快く変更してくださったので、すごく助かりました。毎朝夕2食利用し、おいしく頂く事ができました。
住宅街にありますが、徒歩5分ほどで24時間営業のスーパーがありますので、便利もよかったです。
