La Pieve Di Sant'Andrea
This 13th century monastery is surrounded by century-old olive trees, 8 km from historic Lucca. All elegant rooms have antique furnishings and peaceful countryside views. Olive oil and fruit preserves are made at La Pieve di Sant'Andrea. The B&B serves a varied buffet breakfast, including their own produce. It can be enjoyed on the panoramic garden terrace in the summer. Rooms at the Sant'Andrea have wrought-iron beds and wood-beamed ceilings. Two rooms share a marble bathroom with shower, while the triple room has a private external bathroom. Beaches at Viareggio are 18 km away, and it is a 35-minute drive to Pisa.

The breakfast is excellent, with attention to the smallest details and very abundant.

SATISFIED !
Mr Giorgio, owner of this very ancient and beautiful parish church, will host us. An attentive, helpful, friendly and very discreet host.
The last stretch of road to reach the b&b is not very easy to find, but as we did, just let the owner guide you to your destination by telephone. Parking available.
The b&b is in an excellent position to easily reach Lucca (the Carducci car park is recommended), but also Garfagnana and Pisa.
A note of merit for breakfast, with hot drinks, juices, homemade cakes, croissants and a delicious fruit salad! If desired, a savory breakfast is also available.
More than excellent quality/price ratio for the stay.
We were satisfied and highly recommend it to anyone who intends to spend a few days in beautiful Lucca.

Charm and kindness
Nothing negative (incredible) I recommend in all sincerity.
Ps: no air conditioning but it's useless given the thickness of the walls!

Molto bene - A hidden gem in the foothills of Lucca!
There is a nice sized shared space and covered patio all with a beautiful view of the countryside. The rooms are nicely done and of a good size. The bathrooms are separate and depending on the number of guests, you may have to share a bathroom (3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - only 1 with shower stall.) We were a group of two couples, so it was just the four of us, so we found the place perfect for our needs.
Lucca is 5 miles away and Pisa is a short 25 minute drive through the countryside - we visited both as well as Cinque Terre (an hour drive) from our base at La Pieve. They are also willing to serve breakfast to meet your travel requirements for the day which was very helpful on the day we were touring Cinque Terre.
And even though we were not looking for a budget B&B, the cost for this location and all that was included was amazing.
I cannot recommend La Pieve highly enough - I will definitely go back if I am ever in the region again even if just to experience the warmth of hospitality and peaceful location!
