Just lovely

This is an absolute gem of a hotel. It's not a flashy modern establishment, but although it is 'mature', it everything is in in excellent repair, clean and tidy. I stayed in a twin room which was a decent size with comfortable beds, plenty of storage space and a South-facing balcony. Two slight limitations: bath with hand-held shower head, but no fixed shower; and only two power sockets in the main room, one of which was the old Italian 3-pin design, so make sure you take an adapter.
The food was superb. On the half-board package, we had 5 courses every night and a good breakfast buffet; plus the bonus of tea and cake in the afternoon. The quality was consistently very good. There is a spacious ski room in the basement with heated lockers and direct access from the outside. The basement also contains a spa area which has a red-hot sauna, a large hot tub and showers (thereby offsetting my comment about the lack of shower in the room).
It is a short walk to the ski lifts - uphill, but you've got to expect that in the mountains! Lots of excellent skiing is readily accessible from this village.
The real strength of this hotel, however, is the staff. They were without exception professional, efficient, friendly and helpful. I felt that we know almost all of them by the end of the week and they were instrumental in making our stay so enjoyable.
I stayed here as part of a last-minute discounted package trip, so I can't really comment on the price, but the 'walk-up' rates look reasonable.

Fantastic ski trip

Fantastic ski trip staying here as a very comfortable base to access the Alta Badia / Sella Ronda range. The views from the breakfast dining area were incredible. Level of service from all staff outstanding and every meal superb. A short walk to the ski lift but could almost ski back to the hotel by way of an off piste track behind the hotel across the road.

Genuine and authentic Ladin hospitality and hotel.

We have just come back from a wonderful week's stay at Hotel La Plaza in Corvara. The team are very hospitable, warm and friendly and seem to genuinely delight in pleasing their guests. The hotel is traditional and authentic, maintaining it's own alpine features without needing to go down the route of a contrived look that some hotels have. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with amazing views up towards the Gardena Pass and we also enjoyed using the sauna on a couple of occasions. The breakfast had a great range of food for setting us up for a day of walking and the evening meal had some interesting options but all was delicious. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the village but set back from the main road, with the lifts, bus stops, bakers, supermarket all within easy distance. Thank you very much to all for a really lovely and special stay.

Restaurants are expensive.

I can't help but think of the high hotel prices in this area and this season, but I still felt it was a bit expensive.
The view is good and parking is easy. There is an elevator, the whole facility is somewhat older but well maintained.
Restaurants have good food, but the menu is clichéd and nothing seasonal. It feels like the price is a little high. Four dishes, two desserts and two glasses of wine cost about 80 €.

Delightful restaurant for lunch

We were grateful to find this hotel restaurant in Corvara village for lunch as we couldn't ski that day. Good menu selection and the food was very delicious, plus came with little extras. Was also a charming setting with friendly and attentive staff.
