Indian Wedding
The staff were extremely courteous and responsive to the many requests made of them during the event. The food prepared and its presentation by the hotel's chef and his team for the event was astoundingly good. If one is looking for a wedding venue in Italy that will both delight one's guests and not break the bank, Castello Visconteo should be in one's consideration set.

An Amazing Place To Stay Outside Of Milan...But There Are Some Major Problems.
Our room was absolutely gorgeous - a two-floor space with the bedroom and closets up on the second floor and a huge seating and dining area on the main floor. The bathroom was also very spacious with a long tub, a separate shower and a toilet and bidet. The windows were very tall and had a nice view of the surrounding area and part of the nearby river.
We went out and ate at a nearby restaurant later that night but couldn't get back into the Castello because our pass key was not working anymore. Someone had to come get us and eventually printed off a new card for us saying that we never should have received the other one in the first place.
The next morning however we were awoken by dogs barking outside all morning. It started at 6am and kept going until after 7am. We had gone to enjoy the nice buffet breakfast that they served in a wonderful little room on the main floor - very tasty with lots to choose from. When we returned to our room the dogs were still barking.
We went to Milan for the day and when we returned for a rest - the dogs were still barking outside. We tried to have a bath but there was no hot water - I called the reception desk and was told that it would be fixed in 30 minutes. It was not. I called again an hour later and was told that it had been fixed already. It was not. They then offered to move us to another room but we were exhausted from walking through Milan all day and just wanted to relax - the very idea of having to pack up everything and move to another room was out of the question. I asked the receptionist to please have the manager call us - nobody ever did.
The next morning we were woken up at 6am by barking dogs again. There was hot water though, which was nice. After breakfast I complained about the noise and was told that there was nothing they could do about it as the dogs were not on their property. I once again asked that a manager please contact us - but nobody ever did.
The following morning we were woken up by the dogs and then by a man outside with a leaf-blower that went on for at least an hour. It was so loud that it felt like it was right in the room with us. I actually recorded the noise on my cellphone and when we checked out - I played it for the receptionist and asked her why a manager had never called me back like I had asked for - twice. She apologized and said that everyone was busy getting ready for a big reception that was happening at the Castello. I told her that was not an excuse and we left. What a shame - this place definitely was beautiful but the noise was so bad that I can not truly recommend it to anyone - unless you are a very sound sleeper!
