Lovely hotel

Excellent hotel. Great breakfast. Wonderful bed, cocomat layers, comfort, clean pool, nice bar with music suitable times and next to everything.

If only...

If only... Very tastefully decorated rooms, I was impressed by the obvious care taken to select & match large to tiny, furniture, fitments, fabrics...
Then someone fired the architect & decided on the rest with no brain effort into how guests might be actually using the room. Perhaps the most prominent consequence, present in many cheapo quick buck rooms-to-let: almost no power outlets. Especially by today's standards a total of I believe 3 outlets for 4 guests is ridiculous.
The mosquito screens on the balcony doors, although not an afterthought, were practically impossible to use: the windows had aluminum frames on all 4 sides incl. 10cm at the bottom. The mosquito screens, instead of being the normal horizontally sliding (or folding) type, were the vertical spring-loaded roller variety (normally fit only for small windows (not doors), barely 2cm off the door frame, i.e. one had to stretch to the top & pull them all the way kneeling to the floor fighting to get the hooked within the space to the window frame. To release, one needs to kneel down, use all one's dexterity to disengage & follow all the way to the top. In practice, the rooms have no mosquito screens on the balcony doors. Like I said: they couldn't care less about how guests use the rooms...
Around the pool there are nowhere near enough seats/loungers and most have ridiculous shade. Some very considerate guests on the way to breakfast leave towels on their preferred seating (the ones with decent shade go first) to reserve for ... whenever... On our first day guest showed up to collect their towels at 7pm (when everyone was leaving) having "occupied" the loungers at least all afternoon without being there. In a full pool bar, one dad moved from a small drinks table to a larger meal table at the pool bar, but left their bags at the drinks table (to return after lunch). Mom shows up, he tells her to never mind, but she is too embarrassed and asks the head waiter, who also tells her it's ok...
Breakfast: cheapo quick buck in your face I just want your money
Lunch/dinner: little better than breakfast
Parking lot: short and narrow (minimal shade) inadequate spaces
Pity. If only a tiny little bit of extra effort and a tiny little bit of extra money had been spent on the guests...

excellent service

We booked the day before and were really pleased with the welcome, the hotel room and breakfast. The hotel was also kind enough to let us have a very late check out as we had a very late flight home. Would definitely recommend. Very close to the beach and maybe 10 mins to walk to all the shops and several very nice restaurants where you can watch the sunset.

More a 4+ star!

Probably the kindest staff I ever encountered, really nice and helpful. The room was clean and had a really nice position with a confortable access to the pool side; it was silent, well conditioned and had a kitchen as well as a beautiful terrace on the garden. The breakfast was also very good and well assorted.

Comfy clean quite place for a short trip

We spent three days in the SW Peloponese and we decide to stay in Imathoesa as Gialova located in a very good place by the sea. The hotel is clean the front desk also nice however it is not by the sea. There is a road in front of the hotel that you need to cross. It is not very cheap hotel as the accommodation for off season as it is not a five or even four star hotel! However it is a decent place for a few days for sure.
