Good place to spend the night before the flight

This stay was our final night before we departed back home. Hotel is just 20-30 minutes drive away from the Athens airport. A bit dated, but rather clean. Located on a large avenue, had some stores within reach for last minute shopping.

Airport handy

Basic but clean and handy close to the airport. Not a good idea if you have things to do in the city centre. Interesting recent history associated with the hotel when the Military Junta of 1967, used it as a prison of the Political elite.

Interesting

Pros: low cost, close to the airport, close to restaurants for a quick bite. The owner was very helpful and the watchdog is sweet (but don’t pet).
Cons: I could feel the bedsprings in my back. Pillows were flat as pancakes, and the road next to the motel is really loud.
Overall it was an ideal for a quick night before a flight. It kind of reminded me a scene from the movie “The Shining.” I would definitely stay here again just for the convenience.

Gracious staff and perfect fit for our needs.

We needed a room near the airport prior to leaving Greece after a stay in the Peloponnese. Hotel Pikermi worked out perfectly for us and our traveling companions. Local, charming, clean and a great value. We enjoyed sunning on the small balcony when we arrived, had a nice breakfast in the morning and the owner helped us with directions to the airport prior to our departure.

Nice, locally owned hotel.

When we stopped at this hotel we had been on the road for a while and many of the hotels in the area were either booked or too much money. When we happened upon this hotel we were pleasantly surprised. The owner on the desk, was very friendly and helpful with our inquiries. The hotel and room were bright and clean. The bed, bedding and linens were pristine. Bathroom was good size with shower. Price was reasonable. It was about 30 minutes from Athens airport.
