Relaxing place next to a beautiful forest
We were very kindly given one of the last rooms. The hotel was very well staffed.
The staff were very friendly and helpful despite the high workload.
The food was very good and the breakfast left nothing to be desired.

Easter short trip
We liked it very much, only the bathroom was very narrow and there was no closet in the room, but was enough for us for the short break.
The food was the force.
Good Friday there was a very nice rich fish buffet. For non-fish eaters there was also turkey and salad buffet was always available.
On Easter Sunday evening there was a great meat buffet with pork dendallions, lamb and turkey and much more!!
The staff was always very friendly.

Not as expected – price and performance do not fit
The main house appears partially renovated, e.g. in the restaurant and swimming pool area. Upon check-in, however, we learned that our room was not there, but in an outbuilding – a circumstance not visible on the website. The building looked rather unkempt from the outside, the terrace was littered with cigarette residue, and the access seemed unwelcome. The room itself was very small, dark and provided with thick rough fiber wallpaper. A noticeable smell of humidity and heating was present, the walls showed traces of possible humidity. The bathroom was very narrow but functional.
The wellness area is available, but limited in use. The swimming pool is partially blocked by external groups, the sauna costs extra and is only usable by prior reservation. The sauna area itself was very small and did not seem adequately ventilated. Our visit showed that there was a small window in the vestibule, but it was filled with leaves and insects. Only after ventilation was some fresh air supply possible. The signposting to the sauna area is insufficient, the path cumbersome.
The gastronomy left a mixed impression. The dinner as part of the half board was tasty, but the breakfast was quite simple and not very varied. Half-board guests were accommodated in a separate, simply furnished room, while the more modern restaurant area appeared to be open only to certain guests. Drinks were very expensive overall.
The Service seemed correct but not cordial. Questions were rather reserved and sometimes treated like disturbances. Kindness or attention to the guest was lacking.
Overall, the stay does not meet the expectations raised by the presentation on the website. Price and performance are not reasonable for us.

Wonderful stay!
(tje) on the 2nd floor with a small bathroom. This was not pleasant. We will definitely go back sometime. Beautiful area with nice sights such as Goslar with including imperial place, cable car, tin museum and the Staafkerk .Op half an hour drive the reservoir.
Fine staff with an eye for quality and quantity.
