Absolutely not a 4-star level

The rooms are totally worn out. The carpet full of stains, the tub rusty, the walls scratched. It is absolutely not a 4-star level. There is not even a bottle of water in the room, let alone an electric kettle for tea or coffee or a minibar.
The homepage of the chain still advertises with pool and sauna - the pictures are still online - neither has existed for years.
The service at the reception was very rude. Last but not least, an excessive bill was issued.
Overall an unpleasant stay.

Es tut uns sehr leid, dass Ihr Aufenthalt nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprochen hat.
Wir bedauern besonders die Unstimmigkeiten bei der Abrechnung, die selbstverständlich umgehend überprüft und korrigiert wurden. Zu den genannten Punkte möchten wir anmerken, dass alle Zimmer mit einem Wasserkocher sowie einer leeren Minibar ausgestattet sind, die als Kühlschrank genutzt werden kann. Sollten hier Unklarheiten bestanden haben, stehen wir jederzeit für ergänzende Auskünfte zur Verfügung.
Unser Team legt großen Wert auf einen freundlichen und professionellen Service. Dass dies bei Ihrem Besuch nicht spürbar war, nehmen wir zum Anlass, unsere internen Abläufe zu reflektieren.

NO No No and NO. Poorly managed hotel

Really way out so not convenient for anything else. General atmosphere was drab, carpets were worn out. The 1st thing i noticed was the cheap rather old looking, small plastic bottles of water on either side of the reception desk for 1.5 euros each. Our room was very basic. No fridge, No water. No tea/coffee making, No safe, No air-con, but we did have half a window that opened. A 2nd Pillow was asked for but refused. Flat No.
Staff appeared in very short supply. We were very tired after a long journey. and just wanted something to eat and a place to rest. We took our luggage to our room and came straight back down to the restaurant, as there really is no-where close by to walk too.. We waited and waited for a server... order taken, we waited and waited and waited for our drinks to arrive. Bearing in mind our very long journey, this proved too much for another couple we got up and left. Yet we waited and waited and waited some more for a meal. The meal was basic cooking but hot. Almost 3 hours later we eventually retired to our room and started to shower and unpack. The shower was over a bath which had no hand rail, or anti slip mats and was quite slippy, and toiletries were minimal, with cheap toilet paper. Rubbish bins were not emptied, Needless to say, we didn't sleep well, the room was uncomfortably hot and without fluids. Breakfast was of poor quality and range. I can't blame the staff, they were doing what they could in difficult circumstances but this is just a poorly managed hotel. Avoid this hotel

We would like to clarify that the amenities included in our Standard Rooms are outlined on our website and in the booking information. Air conditioning, a coffee machine and a refrigerator/minibar are part of our Superior Room category. We always recommend checking the room description before booking to ensure that the selected room category best matches individual expectations.
We are sorry if this was disappointing. Upon request, we are happy to provide additional pillows as well as a kettle free of charge whenever available.
Regarding the bottled water in our lobby, many of our guests appreciate the convenience of being able to purchase chilled water at reception for €1.50, especially outside supermarket opening hours.
We would also like to mention that, although our hotel is located in a quieter area, there are several dining options within walking distance. In fact, five different international restaurants can be reached within approximately 15 minutes on foot or under 5 minutes with a car.
We also sincerely apologize for the long waiting times in our restaurant. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. On rare occasions, when staffing is unexpectedly limited, delays can occur, but we understand how frustrating this is—especially after a long journey.
Your comments regarding housekeeping, the bathroom and breakfast have also been noted and will be discussed with the respective departments. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas where we can improve.

Very tired and dated hotel. The staff don’t do much to make you feel welcome.
Breakfast is awful - with important things missing (such as milk). Uncomfortable beds, awful showers.
The gym wasn’t even a gym.

It was clean but very basic. Especially for the price. It was over a week where there was an exhibition at the Messe so i expect inflated prices but it just felt the staff didn't want people there. Also the gym has no weights at all just cardio. Can't really call it a gym

disappointing

The online advertised sauna area is acc. Receptionist closed "for years," cheeky, then still advertising it. There is exactly one cue for billiards, which has been patched up wobbly with ducktape and is absolutely useless. Why then no new ones are purchased speaks similarly to the sauna landscape and the rooms in need of renovation. By the way, the fireplace in the entrance area is electric and not warm and the breakfast area is cold, so the hotel is really only reasonably useful for sleeping. In our room a regular vibration, presumably building services, was heard throughout the stay. The staff is friendly, therefore 1 star.
