highly recommended for people who want to get to know gotha and who want to sleep well at night.

We were very happy with all.clean rooms,good and rich food selection,friendly and helpful staff and good connections to the city center as bus stop is in front of the hotel.We can recommend this place gladly.

Usable only if there are no mobility impairments; elevator does not mean wheelchair accessible.

We used the hotel for one night in the context of a concert in the Friedenstein Palace courtyard. The walkability from the hotel was very good; we managed it with the wheelchairs, it worked out great, thanks also to the nice route recommendation at the reception. Despite having an elevator, the hotel is now unsuitable for wheelchair users; for those with walking difficulties, it is usable with limitations (several steps also to breakfast). The rooms are a bit small and heat up a lot at this time of year; unfortunately, you have to do without air conditioning. The bathroom is functional rather than spacious and the shower has a tile-height step-in, but a grab bar in the shower was provided. The breakfast was tasty, almost sufficient in selection, there was also fresh fruit, and coffee was ready on the tables. One
could also use the terrace for breakfast, highly recommended, as the breakfast room lacked coziness and came across more in the style of a training room.
Unfortunately, the pool or swimming pool is still mentioned in the offer, but it has unfortunately been closed for a year and a half. We managed as best we could with the wheelchairs, but anyone who is even less mobile should look for a bed elsewhere. However, we are always amazed that accessibility in Germany is declining more and more and is by no means changing for the better.
An elevator does not mean accessibility, and further information provided at the time of booking regarding one's own wheelchair use and walking disability is almost no longer read.

Not again.

In July 2025 we received an offer from the “Morada Hotel Gothaer Hof” 4 nights with HP.
Unfortunately, we had noticed an unclean towel and while airing a dirty balcony door.
These shortcomings were also remedied immediately.
Unfortunately, more and more defects came to light little by little.
After an unmentionable dinner, we expressed our displeasure again.
Since we are both asthmatics and allergy sufferers, we decided to check out after the proper breakfast.
After a brief discussion, with our hint we should get another room.
We thankfully declined, as this should have come from the hotel management !?!
After several mail exchanges with the management in Isenbüttel it was clear :
Everything was cleaned and cleaned, according to the cleaners everything is fine, even the following guest would not have had any complaint etc.
For the remaining 3 nights, we were offered 45 € (forty-five) for the half board, out of goodwill.
Furthermore, we got the information in writing, I quote :
“ However, please also note that it is not a deficiency of the accommodation service and does not affect the use of the hotel services if there is some dust in marginal and non-essential places for the use of the room such as the scrubbing strips on the floor, inside in a window or balcony door frame or on the inlet pipe of a toilet. And elsewhere in the room, such as on a mirror or lamp, not every residue of dust is a performance deficiency. All in all, nothing stood in the way of the usability of the room. „
I have also been informed of this, I quote :
“ Of course, we cannot and will not stop you from writing a report on the Internet. As a precautionary measure, we therefore ask you to note that the publication of negative facts that are not proven to be true is not permitted. „

Always happy.

The hotel is located near a commercial area about 25 minutes walk from the center. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and functionally furnished. The bathroom is a good size, but a bit dated. We only booked breakfast and were able to book dinner later without any problem. The food was good.

A great all-round package and always recommended!

We are very happy with the hotel, its staff, the room facilities and the food. The hotel corresponds to its description and the price-performance ratio. The staff are very nice, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The room is very spacious and well equipped. And the food is very varied, very tasty and plentiful. From main courses to starter soup and salad bar to dessert, everything is there and it is difficult to decide what you want to eat. So it is best to try a little of everything - and you won't go wrong! We would be happy to go back anytime!
