Nice hotel

Once again arriving in beautiful Abkhazia, they decided to stop in the capital of the republic - the city of Sukhum. In advance by phone (from Russia can be reached by WhatsApp or Telegram) I booked a room for two + an additional bed (cover-up) in the city centre at the Hotel Dioscuria. For 24 hours we cost 7,400 rubles with breakfast (accept bank cards or cash, which can be withdrawn without fees at an ATM near the hotel) + registration fee of 200 rubles per person. Although, according to Decision No. 106 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Abkhazia of 13 October 2023 “On approval of the procedure for carrying out the registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons at the place of temporary stay in the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia”, which entered into force on 1 January 2024, a one-time registration fee is introduced for each foreign guest temporarily (MORE than fourteen days) staying in the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia. The staff are very friendly, friendly. Our room was spacious, with a small TV, fridge, safe. Bathrobes, shampoos, soap, air conditioning, towels (three each) and disposable slippers were provided. The water is hot, cold and with good pressure. In the WiFi room at a good speed. The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from the sea of the station and 15 minutes in the other direction to the central market. Parked the car overnight on the patio behind a closed gate and under a video camera. No roommates were heard, but maybe they weren't in the rooms. Breakfast is 8-10 a.m., but we were delayed by 15 minutes, almost missed the tour. Sausage with ketchup, two fried eggs, wheat porridge (tasty), bun, beet salad (tasty). The inn is good on a solid 4.

Relationships towards tourists

We have a family tradition. In the NG we go to the country of Abkhazia every year. This year they wanted to stay in Dioscuria. We waited a long time for the opening of the reservation and finally we managed to book a room from 30.12 to 05.01.25. But our joy was not long because for family reasons it was not possible to go on the long-awaited trip, which was reported a month in advance to the hotel for a refund of the reservation fee according to the contract. By the way, we're still waiting for the money, which is a small amount, but it doesn't feel good to get sucked. This is such a negative review of such a beautiful hotel and unpleasant situation and attitude towards tourists.

Great location, mediocre service.

Abkhazia is still an off the track destination and although it is developing quite rapidly,it is still an isolated place between Russia and Georgia proper. This affects the quality of services offered to travellers, even the elementary English spoken here and the wireless internet offered is a novelty in the capital Sukhumi.
The hotel is very central and by the sea front, almost attached to the ancient front of Dioskurias, some of the rooms offer sea views.
The hotel lady has been smiling and willing to help but only erratically available.
This was my second stay in the venue, first was last September, unfortunately the bathroom was not very clean this time. The rooms are spacious but facilities are moderate and would need some upgrading, but this is valid for all Sukhumi anno 2019...

Отлично отдохнули!

Отдыхали в августе 2022 в этом отеле, очень понравилось! Место нахождение отеля в отличном месте! И на пляж не далеко и на вечерний променад выйти хорошо! Завтраки вкусные и сытные! Ежедневная уборка и замена полотенец. Меняли постельное белье 2 раза за 2 недели. Администраторы на рецепшене вежливые и приятные. Обратились к администратору с проблемой по канализации и вопрос тут же был решён. У друзей в номере был не рабочий холодильник, то администрация съездила купила новый. Холодильник купили "БИРЮСА" производитель из нашего родного Красноярска Свет и вода были бесперебоя весь период отпуска) В общем получили удовольствие от отдыха в этом отеле! Если будем отдыхать в Сухуме, то останавливаться будем только в "Диоскурии"! К сожалению не грузятся фото! Завтрак в ресторане, везде работает кондиционер, большой номер с балконом. Очень хорошо! Спасибо!!!!

Хороший отель в центре города

Отель очень хороший. Расположен в центре города, до моря минут 10 пешком, большой номер, телевизор, холодильник, все есть. Завтраки плотные, хорошие. Однажды обедали в ресторане, тоже не пожалели. Рекомендую отель, будете довольны.
