Gorgeous

We stayed here one night while biking down the coast. Lovely, smart, peaceful B and B. Spacious rooms, well appointed and great fresh breakfast. We went into Begadan to pick up a picnic and Caroline laid out a table with crockery, cutlery and glasses to which we added their wine for a delicious evening.

Just Great - will be back!

Such a great experience at Rollan De By. We wanted a secluded Chateau experience and were not disappointed. The building has character but inside rooms are very modern.
As a small hotel (6 rooms) with more of a B&B experience we had a virtually 1:1 service from Benjamin and Deborah who both spoke perfect English.
From the location there’s lots to explore and we’d definitely return.

We would like to thank you for having taking the time to write such a nice review about your stay at the hotel Rollan de By.
The hotel, formerly Chateau La Clare is indeed secluded as it is surrounded only by our vineyard.
Apart from visiting famous chateaux, our lovely region of Medoc has plenty to offer such as the various landscapes along the Gironde estuary, discovering walking trails in the pine forest of Hourtin and having a swim in its lake, or even going surfing on the wide wild beaches of the atlantic coast.

Superb

I would like to thank our hosts Benjamin and Deborah for a wonderful stay at Hotel ROLLAND de By this week.
They were friendly,helpful and so accommodating.
We had a lovely bedroom and the best breakfast in France to date.
They went out of their way to book chateaux visits and restaurants for us and even arranged good weather for our stay!
A beautiful hotel in the middle of the vineyards run professionally by two lovely people.
We have returned home to freezing weather and just long to be back there.
Another visit very soon.

Charming hotel in a quiet location

If you are looking to get away from it all, this is a great hotel. This hotel is located very northern part of the Medoc. The rooms are spacious and very nice. The staff is lovely - managed by a husband and wife team. Wine tasting and tour of Rolland de By and their other family of wines was wonderful. Rolland de By happens to be one of my personal favorites so this was a treat for me.
I highly recommend this place.

We are glad that you enjoyed it and we were very pleased to show you around the vat house of the domain.
It is true that surrounded by the vineyard, the hotel, and Medoc in general, might seem to be away from everything, but we actually are located around 30 minutes from places of interest such as First Growth châteaux, the lake of Hourtin or ocean beaches.
We also are very closed from the Gironde estuary and its magnificient landscapes.
We will not detailled all the secrets spots of the area, the most important for us is that you had a great time in our lovely region and we would be very pleased to welcoming you again at the hotel Rollan de By.

Excellent hospitality

We had an amazing time here. It's boutique hotel standard and the managers couldn't be more helpful. They set us up with tableware to have picnics in the garden, got our bikes out ready for us every morning and when I left my sunglasses behind, drove out to find us and return them! So so kind. The breakfast was amazing and the whole stay thoroughly enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful. I can't speak highly enough of this place. Thank you!
