Not value

Located on Elephantine island on the Nile which necessitates a boat ride across the river to reach the hotel. The hotel showing signs of age. We didn’t feel it was value for money.

Great hotel, great location

The hotel is situated on an island in the middle of the Nile and is reached by a 5 minute free ferry which runs 24 hours every 5 minutes.
We had a deluxe room in the newer part of the resort.
The rooms were a good size overlooking the Nile with a balcony.The rooms have free coffee and water, TV, good air conditioning and speedy Wi-Fi. For a modern hotel there is a good amount of storage. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The beds are comfortable. The gardens are huge. There is a massive swimming pool.
The breakfast is excellent with amazing choice and from 3.30am they will provide breakfast boxes..We also had dinner there which was of a high standard although at hotel prices.
Staff were excellent and very welcoming
Thoroughly recommended.

Pleasant stay in a good location with great views

The location is the hotel's strongest asset. Being situated on an island in the middle of the Nile offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of Aswan city. The shuttle ferry was a fun and novel way to travel to and from the mainland, making crossing the Nile like an adventure. The rooms and bathrooms were generous in size, providing plenty of space to relax and unpack. The spectacular view overlooking the Nile and the surrounding desert landscape was a real highlight. However, the rooms and bathroom in the old wing of the hotel are showing their age and are ready to be updated. Everything was functional, but the interior design and amenities are in need of a refresh to bring them up to a more modern standard. Breakfast was impressive, with a wide variety of choices that catered to many different tastes. The staff were polite, welcoming, and helpful whenever we had a request. Overall, a pleasant stay in a great location.

Booming

Our stay at Mövenpick Aswan was truly a wonderful experience. The hotel offers a perfect combination of comfort, beautiful surroundings, and excellent service. The views of the Nile are simply breathtaking, especially from the Panorama restaurant, where we enjoyed a memorable dinner.
A very special thank you to Madam Tiesir for her exceptional care and attention throughout our stay. She was incredibly helpful, always making sure all our needs were met and providing great recommendations. Thanks to her advice, we had the chance to visit the historic Old Cataract, which was an amazing experience, and enjoy a fantastic evening back at Mövenpick.
The staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to assist, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend Mövenpick Aswan to anyone visiting the city. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back again.

5? No! Maybe 2.5* if you don't put your glasses on

This is no 5 * hotel by any measure. Maybe 3 * on a good day. Kind of like Best Western in Dayton OH down the road by the Waffle House.
Dingy, old and worn out. With nasty moldy bathrooms. Broken HVAC control system. Spa dude, who kind of looks a lot more like a bouncer then spa manager, who follows you to the ATM watching you take money to pay for a VERY mediocre massage because his "Machine broke". (Fairly certain it is fine but they don't like taking credit cards in Egypt)
No slippers or robes in the room either.
Boring minimal breakfast that lost some of the even few options available over days we stayed there.
Overall underwhelming on all and every level. Look for a better option elsewhere.
