Beautiful place

Nice hotel, although could need a renovation in the room we stayed in. Carpets are never nice in a hotel room and especially when they are not cleaned. Besides that the surroundings are beautiful, breakfast was served in the beautiful winter garden, overlooking the park. The service is at a minimum expectations for this kind of place. Friendly, but not pro-active, regardless of the very nice personalized welcome note left in the room.

Wonderful welcome, beautiful place, aging infrastructure

A very well-located hotel, with a lot of charm! Excellent breakfast in an absolutely delightful room. I am giving it 3 stars because the rooms are old-fashioned and could use a refresh, especially the bedding, which is really aging.
On the other hand, a wonderful welcome from two girls, Maya and Faustine, who, despite the hotel's usual routines, waited until late to be present upon our arrival with an absolutely perfect welcome! Thanks again!

Very disappointed

We were also for French week in Præstø and had delighted us and thought to get an experience at Frederiksminde, but the bed was only a 1.5 man bed with a very soft mattress, no outlet in the bathroom and a very boring breakfast without the slightest luxury.
We think that a price of 2000,- does not correspond at all to what you get for the money
It's simply too expensive.

Nice views

The hotel is charmingly furnished with old furniture and beautiful paintings. The rooms are small, so if you have several nights, it may be difficult to find space for several sets of clothes.
It is also quite noisy, because we could clearly hear the television, the coughing, etc. from the neighboring room.
The breakfast was delicious and the winter room with the large windows facing the fjord is very nice. On the other hand, there is something about the communication that is not good enough, because we had clearly pointed out a nut allergy both when ordering and at dinner the night before, and despite this, part of the breakfast was yogurt with muesli, which contained nuts i. Good that you are aware yourself.

Really nice stay in their junior suite with a view of Præstø fjord.

Really nice stay in their junior suite with a view of Præstø fjord. We had bought a so-called summer stay with coffee/cake on arrival, dinner, overnight stay and breakfast - and it was pure pleasure. The room has the old classic furniture, but the beds were good and suitably soft. The bathroom quite small, but OK. Great view of the fjord. Totally quiet at night. This is of course not a modern hotel - but as a classic hotel it is a very nice place with fine service and opportunities for activities in the area.
The breakfast was absolutely fine - and again with a nice view of the fjord.
