Excellent

Positive points: the view is breathtaking. An excellent option to relax and connect with nature while escaping the stress of the city.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bed is very comfortable and offers a pleasant night's sleep.
Negatives: breakfast is very weak and with little variety. The buffet costs $1,600 but I found a high price considering the variety. The food was good, but there was little choice. For example, at the hotel Tropico, which is a 4-star hotel the buffet is 18 euros, and has much more variety in the dishes.

The paint is off

The paint is off. The accommodation must have had better times. Everything's a little rocked down and smudged up.
The reception staff is extremely friendly and can provide very competent information on hiking routes.
Breakfast and kitchen are okay. The food comes on the table a bit listless.
The boss relies on day guests of cruise ships and makes himself a bit important.
Note: At the viewpoint of Rui Vaz you have a pretty view. Unfortunately also on quite a lot of garbage. I wouldn't have to.

Nice setting but disappointing restaurant

Hotel is located in a nice location. The room had a balcony with beautiful views. The decor of the room is basic. The bathroom can be kept a little better clean. Breakfast is also basic. Because the location is remote there are no restaurants nearby where you can eat. The food at the hotel in the evening was a buffet. This was the same buffet as what was already served in the afternoon and was lukewarm by the time we went to dinner. The two nights we ate there it was exactly the same.

Nice place for 1 or 2 days

Nice environment if you come outside the rainy season. View is really beautiful. The road to the hotel also has nice views over the valley. Because the rainy season has started everything is nice and green. Have taken a walk with Guide. Exciting walk but really worth it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Due to the weather, the rooms are very humid. Food is limited so out of season but fine if you adjust a bit. I'd take some food and drinks if you're staying longer than a day.

High on the mountain, very nice

I was having lunch at the restaurant, a pre-booked meal. Simple, tasty, homemade. Grilled tuna and saw steak with rice, carrots, pumpkin and sweet potatoes. Very well-kept environment with a large terrace, lots of surrounding vegetation.
Everything impeccable and clean.
