Good choice in Banff

We stayed four nights in room 213. Our room was quiet except the A/C fan was noisy. The room is designed well. We had room to stretch out on the upholstered bench seating. The shower is tricky to turn on, there needs to be instructions.
The hotel is convenient to shops and restaurants. We had breakfast 3 times at Evelyn’s, the coffee there is strong. Ate dinner at The Fairmont, expensive but good view.

Regarding the air conditioning, it can be a little noisy when the fan is set to full speed while it quickly adjusts the room temperature. Once the desired temperature is reached, the fan slows down and becomes much quieter while maintaining the room temperature.
We also understand that the shower controls can be a little confusing at first, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please know that our front desk and housekeeping teams are always happy to assist with any questions or concerns during your stay.

Peaceful stay in the heart of town

We were a bit apprehensive after reading several recent reviews about the noise but our experience was positive from the moment Piotr checked us in. Perhaps noise is an issue on lower floors but we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a clean and very spacious suite on the top floor and had no complaints. The underground car park was very convenient and we always got a space, even when returning late in the evening. The breakfast buffet at the sister hotel opposite was very good with some a la carte options also included. Brilliant location for restaurants, shops, the Bow River and free shuttle buses to sights like the Banff Gondola. The only improvement that could be made is the gym (in the sister hotel) which is a tiny room with very little in it.

Very nice hotel, right in downtown.

The Peaks Hotel is very nice. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, nice views. We would have preferred if housekeeping could have come earlier in the day. Usually, our room was not cleaned until 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon.
The breakfast at the Banff Lodge across the street was very poor. Definitely not worth the money.

Great location in downtown Banff

Beautiful, comfortable rooms with unmatched downtown location!! Convenient to restaurants and public transportation. Easy checkin/checkout with secure onsite garage parking.

Subpar Experience

My overall check‑in experience was subpar. The room I was assigned faced a back alley, we were provided with earplugs and a white noise machine to help alleviate the early morning noise of the delivery trucks. Had that information been clear, I would have chosen a different room type and/or hotel.
The upgraded room I was told I’d receive was no longer available, and unfortunately no one informed me ahead of time, which led to confusion at check‑in.
Additionally, the bathroom sink in Room 220 was leaking, and the carpet was wet — an uncomfortable issue to encounter upon arrival.
That said, the staff themselves were accommodating, polite, and responsive once the concerns were raised. I appreciated their professionalism and willingness to address these issues.
