Super planet lodge 2

My son and I stayed here for 2 weekends during a trip to Botswana. Lovely staff and atmosphere, nothing seemed too much trouble. You do need a car though as in a residential area but they do have shuttle mini buses. Pool and bar area small but nice to sit by for an evening drink . We would definitely stay again.

It's an okay Hotel

They are not too pricey, reception staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. They need to improve their housekeeping though, my room was not made up for the whole day because i was in the conference with my key, there should be a copy or master key for the hotel.
The housekeeping staff also needs to do a better job and respond promptly to customer requests. We had also booked a buffet lunch but they ran out of food, which also wasn't all that good. The second day the food was so much better.
Overall, my experience was just okay, if you are looking for an affordable place you could definitely check them out.

disaster

The first room we were allocated, the air conditioner did not work, only one door on the shower so there was no privacy, they then moved us up stairs. Bigger room but only one towel, no plug for the sink, toilet seat loose, no hair dryer, shower door did not close properly. no money to exchange. The staff did try hard but feel that management should not put them in this position. I always take my own tea,coffee and milk which was good as very little in the room mainly sugar, although i suppose they would have fetched some for us if asked. Feel house keeping needs to be better. I must admit i have stayed in better cheaper places.

It is an OK place given the reasonable price you pay

Planet lodge 2 is well situated in Gabs as it is reasonably close to the new CBD. The lodge is a weird collection of mismatched decor and fittings which give the appearance of having been bought on special. Out back is what appears to have been a townhouse bought on an adjacent plot with each room fitted out as a suite. The room I stayed in had a daft low marble table which toppled over if you put anything on it.
There was only one Ricoffy sachet in the room. When I got a second one and put it next to the kettle it got promptly removed by house keeping which seemed trivial.
All of that said the staff were friendly the air con worked, the bed was comfy and breakfast was OK. What more can you ask for?!

Awesome Treat!

i recently travelled to Botswana and was astonished to find this wonderful facility,it was a touch of class in all respect! the services was heart warming,the atmostphere was thrilling. i will simply recommend Planet lodge 2 (AS i was told, there is another branch somewhere in town) to anyone visiting this city.
