Wonderful experience with Zhideychen
The review was long due. We stayed in Zhideychen with my Korean clients in late October.Such a cozy boutique hotel. The owners are wonderful couple and they know how to take good care of their clients. Both dinner and breakfast were incredibly good. The hotel has some of best view of the rice field. My client fully loved their stay and would 100% recommend this beautiful hotel.

Horrible
Horrible service...staff doesn't want to help at all...they make faces when u ask a simple help...food not good, rooms are not well designed ...owner herself is v rude ...u can't expect much from staff

Avoid very bad staff
We at Zhideychen Resort in Paro, i would say avoid this especially for families with children, following a highly disappointing three-day stay.
Key issues included:
Bad staff... specially receptionist... always frowning .. i guss she had some issue with Indians...
Location: Situated slightly outside Paro with an unlit, pothole-riddled approach road.
Rooms: While spacious, back rooms lacked privacy due to tightly packed adjacent balconies.
Food: very poor... with frequent kitchen shortages and staff reluctant to add more
Not recommended at night.

Heavenly stay at Paro with Zhideychen Boutique Hotel
Indeed one of our best overall stays to remember and cherish forever ! The entire staff right from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant were very friendly and highly supportive. Special thanks to their manager Ms. Deki who is a very hard working professional. She was always available and ensured that she engaged with guests and kept a close eye on her operations too. We got a stunning room on the first floor with door to ceiling glass windows all around giving us a 180 degree view of mountains and heavenly skies. The food served was very delicious be it through room service or everyday morning breakfast. The entire staff is very humble, friendly and supportive and they never make you feel away from home. In these three days we felt like they were our family in Bhutan - Paro. Highly recommend to all travellers if you want to be close the market and yet get stunning views of the mountains !!! This is truly Amazing!!!!

Decent hotel.
I stayed two nights at that place, as a part of a 7 days trip to Bhutan. The hotel looks nice and newi-ish. It is situated on a secondary lane with local shops, across the street is a small farm with livestock and a decent view on the rice fields of the Paro Valley. The small city center of Paro can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. However, the window frame woodwork has been botched, you could see interstices where the cold went through. On top of the massive window was a deep space where flies could crawl inside. As a result, my room (208) was infested with them. I have to apologize to the staff member who had to clean after my stay as I did the very un-Buddhist thing to massacre the whole fly colony. I hope they understand that from a western point of view, flies are vermin. The electricity bill also took a hike as I had to leave the portable heater on the whole nights (and the funny electric mattress heater too...). Apart from these two issues, everything was fine, the staff is very polite and attentive, breakfast and the set evening meal were nothing special but enough and tasty, beds are comfortable and the main premises clean.
