Mamu’s Restaurant

THIS IS THEEEEEE PLACE!! Such a cute quiet and quaint place. We didn’t stay at the resort, we only ate at the restaurant attached (Mamu’s Cafe). The location is at the end of a cul-de-sac, plenty of parking. Super clean, great food with great prices (tip will be included and well well worth it). Our hostess and waitress name was Ashley. She’s the owners beautiful daughter who is super helpful and willing to share as much information possible about the island. She’s genuinely a beautiful young lady with a wonderful and kind spirit. She was very friendly and gave great suggested menu options. The food was delightful. The cook was a nice guy (I just remember his name beginning with a C); he made everything to perfection. The bonus was that Ashley gave us a good bit of history and suggested things to do while on the Island. She knew so much and was very knowledgeable of the history of the Island. Tbh I wish I could have taken her along with me during my stay. She was just all out AMAZING! Oh and at the end of your meal they give samples of the Ginger rum (I believe her dad either grows the ginger or makes the rum). It was delicious; a little fiery but yummy. I suggest sipping;)

Lack of maintenance

A lot of things are rusty, damaged, dirty or outdated.
Fire extinguisher is empty. This was reported at reception but not corrected during our stay.
Broken chair.
Badly insulated electrical wire.

Atrocious accomodation. Unfit for human habitation.

The room was dirty, the toilet seat was soiled, there was no cold running water in the kitchen, bird poo on the kitchen walls, the utensils were dirty and the frying pan had not been cleaned. The dining room table snd chairs wrre dirty and one of the chairs was falling apart. One of the bed bases was ripped and the stuffing was sjowing. Absolutely atrocious. The one star goes to the reception staff who were lovely and helped us get a refund for the remaining 9 nights we were supposed to be staying but we got our travel agent to move us to a totally different hotel.

Basic accommodation

Do not have any expectation this is basic. The best thing is the view. Location has quick transportation links into Oistins 15 mins by car/bus. Local supermarket. Buffy's Mini market' very handy.
Very quiet location. Would not recommend 1 to 2 nights maximum.
The accommodation states toiletries and laundry. You have pay for laundry to be done. I stayed 10nights last minute option.

The place is clean and very nice. Host was very helpful and communicative so was ready to receive me when I came. Very recommended.
