My husband and I spent two separate nights within the month of June 2026 at A Stone's Throw Away. The Caribbean ambience of the rooms (and of the hotel) was striking in a positive way. The beds were extra comfortable with light Indian?, sheet- covered quilts (I forget what they are called) and comfortable, pressed (?) clean sheets. Our first room had a high view of the ocean and our second room a garden view; both terraces and their garden, street, and ocean views were a treat and both caught the island breezes. During each of the two separate nights there was occasional noise of suitcases being rolled in or out above us. Cafe Bombay was a great addition, and the two simple dishes we had during our second stay were delicious, but pricey. The Cafe management should check the metal chairs on the main terrace, as the one I was sitting in during our second visit broke due to rust and could have caused injury. Both breakfast, which did supply yogurt, and dinner were on that main terrace, which was big plus. The pool too was a plus: little rom for adults to swim, but a pleasant way to relax and cool off in the garden. The tunnel, which rises up to the hotel and which, according to our taxi driver, was dug by slaves years ago, added to the Bahamian ambience. That ambience was unpretentious, as was the service, and the rooms' decor simple but tasteful. All was very clean.

Great stay!
One small thing to be aware of is that some of the outdoor steps can become quite slippery, especially if they’ve gotten wet, so it’s worth taking a little extra care when walking around.
Other than that, my experience was excellent. The accommodations were comfortable, the grounds were well maintained, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Nassau.
