During my recent visit to Lismore, I had the pleasure of staying at the Lakeside Lodge Motel, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The staff where lovely and really nice, recommend stay when your looking for somewhere close to Lismore but not in town.

A very pleasant stay

An excellent stay at this motel. The room was very comfortable and the meal superb - completed by a delicious bonus brownie created by one of the young owners. I thoroughly recommend this motel if you're travelling to the Lismore area you will enjoy it.

Not Good

On entering room, there was a foul odour. Being extremely tired, I thought I would just turn aircon on and it might clear it up. I needed to lay down and rest my bad back/hip. Had an hour sleep, and on waking I could hardly breathe from the stench.It was an overpowering smell of urine (cat pee maybe). I organised a another motel. As i was leaving the manager asked what was wrong, so told her. She offered to move me to another room,which i accepted.On leaving next day, I was confronted with-"that smell in the room was smoke, do you smoke?" I have not smoked in 18yrs. And if it was me smoking in the room, why would I want to move to another and expose myself?? I cant stand the smell if smoke and I can certainly tell the diff between smoke and PEE. 2nd room smelt better, room was clean, mattress was hard. 1st room stunk, had a small poo on vanity sink (possibly a frog poo)...
