Lovely beach cottage
We stayed in Cottage 20 and everything was fantastic. It is well geared up to self cater has two showers plus an outdoor one. Washing machine and tumble dryer. Lovely outdoor area with BBQ. Short walk to the beach and a safe swimming area just up the path at Old Dunsborough. Coles and Liquor store near, lovely walks and great coastline. Would we come back - definitely.

Very nice stay
Stayed here six nights in cottage 15 Teal. The beds were comfortable, the showers were strong and hot, the AC worked well, and the BBQ grill was clean and in perfect condition. Friendly welcome on check in and very responsive to questions by email. Nice to have laundry in the cottage - bring your own soap, though. Owners are clear on what is provided and what guests need to bring. Still, we were happy to find plenty of basics such as salt and pepper, tea, sugar, dishwashing soap, dishwasher powder, and garbage bags. Even a little container of milk in the fridge. The Internet worked fine for us. Our cottage was a short walk to the paved pathway along the bay. Wonderful morning walks were had along this trail. These accommodations are quite close to very many Dunsborough highlights. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in this area.

Charming Beachfront Cottage with Room for Improvement
We had a wonderful stay at this charming beachfront cottage! The location is unbeatable—stepping right out onto the sandy shores was a dream come true. The cottage itself is spacious and well laid out, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped with most appliances and utensils we needed, making meal prep easy and enjoyable.
However, there were a couple of minor downsides. The non-stick frying pans were a bit old and scratched, which could use an update. Additionally, basic essentials like salt and pepper were not provided, so make sure to bring your own.
Despite these small issues, we loved our time here and would definitely consider returning. It's a perfect getaway for those looking for a cozy, beachside retreat!

Great location but basic accommodation.
Day 12 of our 2-week trip to WA and we were returning to Dunsborough after stops at Albany and Esperance. Earlier in the trip, we had 2 nights in a fantastic villa at Whalers Cove but couldn't book a return stay because they wanted a minimum of 3 nights in the run-up to Easter. The Beach Cottages were happy with a 2-night minimum and are close to the Villas so we went with that. Cottage 21 Marlin is close-ish to the main road but there was no road noise and we both slept comfortably. The accommodation is fairly basic but there is a communal pool and the beach at the back of the cottages is nicer (no rocks) than the one at the Villas. Overall, the Cottages are most suited to young families and the Villas are better for couples or families with teenage and older kids.
The village is within walking distance and there are plenty of shops, supermarkets etc. We had the best meal of the whole trip at Yarri restaurant and an excellent lunch at Palmers Winery.

Nice location
Positives:
1. Spacious cottage - two bedrooms, loft, kitchen, laundry, one bathroom, one separate shower and toilet. 2. Location - within walking distance from town centre, with an easy beach access. 3. Well equipped kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop, oven, kettle and kitchenware. 4. Instant coffee, tea, salt and sugar were provided. 4. Washing machine. 5. Additional separate toilet and shower. 6. Fireplace. 7. Swimming pool.
Negatives:
1. Advertised as having two, full bathrooms, but in reality it was one proper bathroom and one extra, separate shower (with no cabinet, mirror or sink) and a separate toilet. 2. No A/C in the bedrooms, only old style, standing fan provided. 3. Extremely squeeky bed in one of the bedrooms. 4. Issues with the outdoor BBQ - burner ignition did not work. 5. Only one, tiny, 200ml, milk container provided for 4 people. 6. No coffee pods provided for the coffee machine, just instant coffee. 7. Apart from a bar of soap, no other toiletries were provided. 8. Lots of spider webs inside, mainly in the living room, 9. Strict check out conditions, including a $20 fee, if you are 15min late leaving the accommodation.
