excellent choice
I stayed one night in the structure. I chose this hotel for its strategic location having used the bus 835 from Aliaga (stops very close to the hotel). the city center can be reached in about 15- 20 minutes on foot or by public bus. however there are restaurants and shops very close. the rooms are basic but large and clean. good breakfast. excellent reception

Convenient and handy hotel in Bergama
This might not be the best hotel in Bergama but we found it handy, convenient and pretty good, although some parts of the building are a little bit old and tired (like the stairs - but fortunately there is a good working lift).
The staff we met was very nice, helpful and friendly, both the man that does the night shift as well as the Macedonian lady that does the day shift (plus the man that fixed our shower head just five minutes after reporting the problem to the front desk).
We had room #306, which is long and large. It actually has a single bed, a double bed, a table, two chairs, a desk, a small refrigerator, a wardrobe, Air Conditioning and a heater. The beds were comfortable as well as the pillows, but the bed sheet was a little bit strange, as it looked more like a bedspread than like a thin bed sheet (we found the same type of "bed sheet" in other hotels around Turkey). On the other hand, it is true that the furniture, the lamps and the switches were somehow old.
The clean ensuite bathroom was the best part of the room, as it was completely new and very spacious. The shower was like a science-fiction shower (with buttons and colour lights), hot water run very well and the towels were good and pleasant.
Wifi worked very well both in the room, in the reception area and in the attached breakfast room. By the way, the breakfast was a buffet with just cold dishes (no hot options :-(), so it didn't impress us.
In terms of food, there are several dining places along the hotel's street like the restaurant attached to it. However, we have to say that we didn't like it so much, so we are recommending others you can find on the way to the old town. Actually, if you walk from the hotel to the old town along the same sidewalk, you should find some good and popular Turkish restaurants after 200 meters, more or less (they are found just before a good patisserie).
And yes, this hotel is far away from the old town and the Akropolis. Therefore, it is wise to take a local bus, which costs 3 TL and takes you to the old town, the Red Basilica and a crossing from where the lower station of the cable car (to reach the Akropolis) is just a 5 or 10 minutes walk. This is what we did, but then, on our way back to the hotel, we walked down from the Akropolis and through the old town, a very nice and pleasant stroll (and then, if the hotel's roof pool is open, it is the perfect ending for the day).
On the other hand, this hotel is convenient if you are arriving in (or leaving) Bergama by bus (there are a couple of bus offices just 50 meters away).

Smallest lift, comfortable hotel!
Very comfortable hotel in central area with the tiniest lift I've ever encountered! Excellent, generous breakfasts, large comfortable room and extremely modern shower! Roof top pool with great views. Helpful staff.

Good hotel for 1 or 2 nights
We stayed here only for one night. The hotel looks a little bit worn down, but the rooms are really nice, large and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. When we left, the owner gave us 3 botlles of fresh water because we have told him that we had a long trip for the next hours. It was very kind of him and we appreciated it.

Very friendly staff, large bed, good rooms, rooftop pool
From the outside the hotel looks a little bit worn down, but the rooms are really nice, large and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a swimming pool on the roof. It looks a bit scruffy, but hey it's a pool, it's clean and it works. The lights, music etcetera in the sophisticated shower cabin didn't work and the cabin seemed to be leaking because the bathroom floor got really wet after I used it.
