At what point does one question the sanity of housekeeping staff?
But first I had to sweep away some short black hairs from my sheets. I can only hope they came from above some previos guest's waist. But I know they were not mine (I don't have black hair).
There was a dead housefly on the floor. A thickened urine stain on the rear surface of the toilet rim. Human hair in most every corner of the floor. Curious black stains on the sheets, without so much as an effort to position said stains below the covers (one is just inches from my elbow; looks like washed-out old blood).
A rattling, tinnitus-like buzz emanates from a ceiling ventilation aperture.
The district of town is not someplace you would want to walk around at night, either.
Bus/taxi in and bus/taxi out at best. It's pretty edgy, deserted, too near the tracks and on the wrong side of them.
If you stay here, make sure to use the complimentary slippers. I went barefoot for a moment, but the filth on the floor was too disgusting.
I have given the place a star because it looks like you can't give less.
Then again, the TV worked (and one remote, instead of the confusing two you get at some places). The (noisy) a/c worked. The view, while it is of a parking area, at least looked over a quiet place. The staff were not unhelpful (but do not expect English-language proficiency, far from it). I will be unable to rate their breakfast.
This will be my last stay here. I suspect that my night's sleep will be unmemorable.

Good price and quality!
We stayed in the hotel for one night as we were just passing through town. We had not booked so once they arrive at the hotel the reception staff greeted us in a very friendly way and asked us to book via the internet, everything was solved in a few minutes. Another member of the hotel parked the car in the parking lot of the hotel and in less than half an hour refinished in our room.
The room was very comfortable, new bathroom, towels, slippers, safe and air conditioning.
The breakfast was quite varied.
I recommend to all those who will go to Izmir to stay at this hotel.
