Wonderful stay!! 10/10 recommend, we loved it!!

This hostel is amazing!! Me and my friend, (girls, 18-24 y/o), loved it so much and we felt so safe with the staff and the other guests. The atmosphere is positive and social and they organized things for the guests such as bar night and dinner for cheap prize. They were super helpful when we wanted to find places to eat etc. This place made our stay 100x better and gave us the best experience of Antalya.

One Staff Member Ruined an Otherwise Good Hostel ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

Usually, I don't write negative reviews. I understand that every hostel has small issues, and I usually overlook them. However, the behavior of one staff member made me decide to write this review wherever I can.
Gold Coast Hostel is actually a decent hostel with a great location in the center of Antalya. That is exactly why it is disappointing that one employee can completely ruin the guest experience.
I am referring to Fatih, who worked at the reception during my stay.
Everything was fine until I asked about my laundry. I had been told that my clothes would be washed and dried by the evening. Instead, they were only returned the following morning. I simply asked why they had not been ready as promised, because I wanted to take a shower in the morning and put on clean clothes before leaving.
From that moment, Fatih's attitude toward me changed noticeably.
Later, he asked whether I wanted to extend my stay. I looked at him and nodded. Instead of answering politely, he raised his voice and told me in a rude tone not to nod but to answer with words. As he walked away, he continued speaking angrily in his own language.
My English is not perfect, and instead of trying to help, he repeatedly asked me in an unfriendly way whether I even understood English. I felt disrespected rather than welcomed.
One employee should never have the power to ruin the reputation of an entire hostel. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened in my case.
I sincerely hope that the hostel management reads this review and pays attention to how guests are treated. A good hostel can lose its reputation because of the behavior of just one staff member.

Not worth the 15£.

I booked 4 days and day one, I realized I made a mistake. Tried to give benefit of doubt but that was another mistake. The hostel will delete your visit/account if they feel you may leave an honest review which is negative. No where to put your things in the room, in the bathroom. Lockers are in hallway and may not lock. Beds are low and metal. Can not sit up if out on the bottom and top bunk is shaky. Windows don’t open and the A/C unit if over someones bed. Which means they don’t want it on. One toilet was not working. No low lighting so you can see if you arrive late. They all you not to smoke, but sit in the door way and blow smoke into the hallway. Owner needs to invest in this place and it could be decent, again. Beds need to be replaced with wood. Wood provides steps and better spacing.
Rooftop was nice. Staff was friendly until you all got a refund. Also ensure you have cash. That’s all they accept for everything. Loaner towel was soft.

Perfect place for backpacker

beyond any expectation. Thanks a lot!
Roof-Top bar is a good place to meet people and enjoy cocktails. Hostel is in a very nice neighborhood. Clean, nice style, I'll come again.

Perfect Traveler Hostel in Antalya

We had the most amazing time at Gold Coast Hostel. Levent was very helpful to us from the time we checked in. They showed us the best places for eating & drinking in town and recommended great places to visit in the city. This is the perfect traveller hostel in Antalya.
