perfectly quirky and a really nice pier… although our terrace took the win!

Although one of the reasons for booking this hotel was the stunning pier… it was still a bit of a surprise to see it featured on so many billboards advertising Thailand in Bangkok airport. That said, it should not have been a surprise because the place is absolutely beautiful.
We stayed in the family suite (two full ensuite bedrooms - obviously one was left untouched) which frankly was rather excessive… but absolutely worthy for the terrace alone! Kind of why we booked it.
The hotel itself is just the right amount of quirky with some nice personal touches that we really enjoyed. All the public areas were clean and very well presented, and included many choices for either couples of groups to hang out and not feel over crowded - which was a really nice touch. However, due to the ridiculously amazing terrace in our room, we didn’t use any of the public spaces apart from the restaurant and jetty/bar.
Swimming and snorkeling is great - especially adjacent to the jetty… you know the one in all the photos… It is also worth noting that at low tide it is easy enough to navigate your way to the nearby beach across the shallows - but would recommend shoes as it is quite rocky around the mangrove.
The staff were all extremely helpful and they did a really nice job of decorating the suite for us ahead of our arrival - so a BIG thank you to both the front and back of house teams for making sure our stay was truly enjoyable. We cannot wait to return.

Unfortunately, we did not feel that the breakfast lived up to the standard set by lunch and dinner.

Worst hotel in Thailand

We've been to Thailand a lot, but we haven't seen this rundown hotel for this price yet. The hotel has had its best times. We had from our bungalow overlooking huge pool earlier, and were very afraid that no one would fall off (for the children's kill danger). Breakfast was not at all standard. We had to ask staff to make warm egg, then they warmed up the eggs and didn't freshen them up. The food was always cold. The dishes were dirty and not a plate without quirks. The staff was bored and only on the phone.
The worst part was the bed bugs, I had to scratch myself all the time. Due to the construction work we had constant noise pollution.
We didn't get compensation.
Worst hotel in Thailand.

Repainting needed but nice location and room style

A great view and very individual rooms. Super sunsets, but poor maintenance. Also, the breakfast is very simple. The cooked ham is swimming in warm water. The butter is melted for weeks. The rice was cold. There are not enough staff, or they are poorly trained, to clear glasses and bottles that took over 18 hours. It is a pity that the management does not care.

A nice few days

A beautiful resort with one set back. There was a large pond outside our room which was full of green water with a nasty smell. Other than this it was lovely. The food was inexpensive and delicious. The pier was a lovely touch and cocktails were wonderful. Staff helpful enough but not overly friendly. Had a nice few days but probably would not return.

Très bon emplacement
