Very helpful staff and good location.
But - there are constant noise from nearby bars and planes.
Not suitable for relaxation.

Disappointing Customer Experience

I recently stayed at the Best Western Chaweng Samui Hotel for two nights. Normally, I avoid writing negative reviews, as I understand that issues can arise at any hotel. If staff make a genuine effort to resolve problems, I’m happy to overlook them. Unfortunately, that was not the case here, and I feel it’s important to share my experience.
On the first night, my stay was extremely disappointing. I had informed the hotel in advance that I work nights and require strong WiFi for Zoom meetings. The hotel provided me with a personal router for the room, but the connection remained very slow. I complained multiple times, and while maintenance tried, they were unable to fix the issue. As a result, several of my video meetings were disrupted, and two had to be rescheduled.
The air conditioning was another major problem. It blew only room-temperature air, making it very difficult to work or sleep. Maintenance staff came to my room three times during the night, attempting adjustments and even dismantling the unit, but ultimately confirmed it was not functioning properly. The next morning, I was moved to a new room, where the AC worked.
The bathroom also had a poor design flaw. While showering in the bathtub, water flowed out onto the floor due to the way the tub was constructed, creating flooding that couldn’t be avoided.
When I requested a refund for the first night, the hotel refused — and even declined to escalate the matter to the property owner. This was both disappointing and unprofessional. Best Western is a global brand with published values of integrity, accountability, and fairness. Unfortunately, this property did not uphold those standards. I have reported the situation to Best Western corporate headquarters.
My recommendation: Avoid this property. The service and response to problems fall well short of the Best Western name. For the management here, I hope this review serves as a reminder that as a franchisee, you represent the brand and must uphold its values. Treating guests fairly is not only the right thing to do but will also lead to better reviews and more business in the long run. Learn from this and get better!

The room was clean and comfortable but the walls are very thin .. I could hear my neighbor snoring! The breakfast buffet is excellent and the hotel is conveniently located. The receptionist was not very accommodating when I complained about the noise. She did not offer any solution. Also I would have expected the front desk staff to be a little more knowledgeable about the facilities and attractions around. Only Dream seemed interested in helping to find the information I needed about the ferry schedules. Overall fair but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Staff were great, rooms clean, tiny ants running around in the bathroom, I thought it was just me, but the room next door had the same problem. I prefer my bathroom to have a shower and not a bathtub with a shower curtain. This caused water to get everywhere. The pool is completely under cover, anyone looking to relax by the pool and catch some rays, this pool isn't for you.
