Scenery and services
The scenery is beautiful, and the restaurant service is very attentive.
To celebrate my friend's birthday in August, I made a belated celebration. Bamboo has a female service staff member with glasses ♀️ (I don't remember her name). She immediately arranged it when she knew we wanted a cake, which was a big surprise.

Happy hour and dinner are great while watching the sunset.
The food is delicious, you can enjoy sparkling wine for breakfast. The sea and the beach are beautiful and the sunset is beautiful. But it's a shame that the room smells like sewage and is full of bugs.

DANGEROUS SAFETY HAZARD & Appalling Staff Response - Please Do Not Bring Children
I am writing this review because I genuinely wish no other young families get hurt from this. I strongly warn anyone considering The Racha to book elsewhere if you are traveling with children. This property is entirely unsuited for young guests, and the management's handling of a severe medical emergency was completely unacceptable.
During my friends’ stay, their young child slipped near the swimming pool. Because the pool edge lacks proper non-slip safety features and has a dangerously sharp, un-rounded edge, a simple slip turned into a severe open and DEEP laceration that required surgery and stitches under general anesthesia.
While accidents can happen anywhere, the staff's reaction was appalling. They demonstrated zero 'duty of care.' Management offered no first aid, no empathy, and no logistical assistance for the medical emergency. Shockingly, instead of helping a terrified and severely bleeding child, their priority was to try and pressure us into paying unjustified and exorbitant 'fees' on the spot.
A true 5-star resort prioritizes guest safety and basic human decency. The Racha provided neither. If you are planning a family trip, please protect your children, take this warning seriously, and avoid this hotel.

We are deeply sorry that the child sustained an injury during the visit. The safety and well-being of our guests, particularly children, are matters we take very seriously.
Following the incident, a physical inspection of the swimming pool was conducted, which confirmed that the pool-step edges are not sharp.
Our team responded immediately, and the resort’s nurse on duty assessed the injury and recommended hospital treatment. Following this recommendation, the resort arranged an emergency boat transfer from the island so the child could receive the necessary medical attention at the hospital.
We therefore respectfully disagree with the statement that no assistance, care, or logistical support was provided. Our staff attended to the situation promptly and assisted with the emergency transfer.
This was the first incident of this nature in the history of the resort’s operations. Nevertheless, we sincerely regret that the accident occurred and hope the child has made a full recovery.
We respectfully remind all parents and guardians that young children must remain under close adult supervision whenever they are in or around swimming pools and should always use the designated pool steps when entering or exiting the water.
