Footwear is strictly prohibited,

It's clean, and shoes are strictly prohibited in the facility. However, when I was staying, there was a Western guest who was clearly moving around the hotel in beesans with outer footwear, and the toilet and shower were muddy. If you are interested, we recommend bringing your own slippers.
Breakfast included but not Thai with bread or cereal.
There was only one shower and toilet on the dormitory floor for men. Women seem to shower more than men.

Comfortable and cosy.

Amazing owners and very helpful when needed. Guided me on some tours to do around Chiang Mai. Clean and comfortable rooms, bed was comfortable to sleep in. Cosy atmosphere. Would stay again if I was in the area. Walking distance to the Sunday night market!

Super friendly owners

The owners give great tips and organize tours and excursions. The room is very attractive and has lots of storage space. The bed is very large and comfortable. The room always smelled a bit unpleasant, but thanks to the mosquito net on the window it was easy to air out. The price-performance ratio was still great though! There was a small breakfast with toast, muesli and fruit, which was included in the price. The hostel is very centrally located in the middle of the old town, surrounded by lots of good restaurants but still quiet. We would come back!

Great experience as a solo traveller

I stayed at Pakping for one night when I was stuck in Chiang Mai with food poisoning. I was really worried about my health and the staff were so kind and generous - they got me coconut water and electrolyte powder from 7 eleven nearby. I felt safe and secure in the hostel, and their private room was beautiful. Clean, with A/C and a little desk for me to journal when I was feeling a bit better. Their included breakfast was lovely too. Highly recommend - especially if you’re a solo traveller :) lots of common space and great people

Reopening Nov 1! Updated dining and living area! Quiet, peaceful and clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast and lots of help from the new team.
Air purifiers have been added and new fans to help with air flow
