Great room in a quiet neighborhood close to old city and night bazaar.
Very clean and comfortable. Two adults and two 7 year old boys. Great little pool. Easy to walk to places or get quick tuk tuk. Recommended!!

Bad smell in the rooms

We were assigned to room 510. When we arrived the room had a smell that looked like food. Looks like it came from the air conditioner. After we used the bathroom the smell got much worse. Looks like a return from the sewage sewer. We complained at the reception and said they would check. The night, when we returned from the tour the smell of the bathroom was in every room, unbearable. We demand the change. We were relocated to room 410 (probably the same sewer floor as the bathroom). The odor situation in the new room was ok. The room was in poor condition (dirty walls, with marks of pasta patches, bathroom box with broken puller, broken pressure record, the ceiling and wall showers only work simultaneously, it was not possible to close one of them). After using the bathroom the bad smell returned quite strong. As in all the establishments we visited in Thailand the staff served us very well but in this case the bad smell made a good experience impossible. At the time of leaving we noticed the bad smell at the hotel door, on the street level. Although the hotel has a van we did not provide transfer to the airport due to lack of driver.

Great hotel!

We chose two hotels in Chiang Mai, one of which was the North Wind, which was very convincing! Very quiet location convinces not only by the resulting holiday vibe, but also by the warm staff!
The airport can be reached in about 5-7 min by taxi if you drive undisturbed; the inner circle Chiang Mai is reached in about 10 min on foot! Location is therefore top! Very quiet and green it is around the hotel! Another plus: many small restaurants are located on the way to the center.
The rooms and the whole complex were very clean and very spacious. The hotel was not very busy in August and September.
The pool or the outdoor areas are top!
Breakfast is nice, there are fruits, croissants and also other food, e.g. various egg dishes. Breakfast also possible earlier if an early plane ✈️ is taken!
Overall a great address in CNX! Great price and even better performance! Keep it up, North Wind!

This little gem is 5 stars all the way! The interiors are open and airy. The bed is comfortable. The linens crisp and impeccably maintained. The bathroom is modern with a rainfall showerhead. The staff are charming and extremely helpful. This is by far one of the best properties that I have stayed lt in Chiang Mai.
