A magical stay in Cabin 2 next to the river!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Cabin 2, which is located right next to the river. It’s incredibly peaceful and the perfect escape from the noisy center of Arusha. Waking up to the sound of flowing water and watching monkeys pass right over our roof was a highlight we will never forget! In the evenings, they lit a lovely fire right inside our cabin to keep us warm, creating a beautiful, cozy atmosphere to unwind.
The hostel is locally run and has a wonderful community vibe. The staff is exceptionally warm and helpful, and you can really feel the authentic Tanzanian hospitality. The free tour of the property is absolutely fantastic—make sure you don't miss it! They also propose and organize great activities and tours, making it super easy to plan your days. On top of that, every meal was fresh and cooked with love. It is the perfect base before or after a safari. We will definitely come back!

BEWARE !!! Not what it used to be.

BEWARE. I think from what I hear ownership just shifted and things went downhill quick. We had all of our passports, credit cards and money stolen from our room. The hotel literally waved a hand in our face as we were telling them the room was broken into saying it’s not their problem. Another guest was saying also how their things were also missing and they didn’t care. Super rude. Yes the place is pretty but not worth getting your stuff stolen for. The staff is all rude and racist. If you are white don’t go as you will be treated poorly. Never in all my travels did I encounter such a horrible time.

This review is completely false and does not reflect any real experience at our property.
We want to make this absolutely clear to anyone reading this: we have never hosted this guest, and there is no record of such a stay at any time. Furthermore, there has never been any incident of theft involving passports, money, or personal belongings at our property.
Claims of this nature are extremely serious, and if such an event had occurred, it would have been formally reported, documented, and addressed immediately with full cooperation from authorities. No such report exists because this incident simply did not happen here.
We operate a transparent, locally owned business built on trust, safety, and genuine hospitality. Our team treats all guests with respect regardless of background, and accusations of discrimination are completely unfounded and unacceptable.
To our future guests: please be assured that this review is misleading and not related to our property or services in any way. We stand firmly by the safety, integrity, and experience we provide every day.

UNIQUE EXPERIENCE!

We stayed for only 2 nights and 3 days in this natural paradise of Tanzania in Chalet Superior River 1.
They welcomed us and organized 2 fantastic excursions:
- Materuni Waterfalls and Hotsprings
- 1 Day In Tarangire Safari.
We must admit that already waking up in the morning with monkeys outside the window is worth the entire price of the trip.
WE REALLY RECOMMEND coming to visit this place because it is unique, the food is great and the staff really helpful with every request.
Thanks for everything, I hope to return soon!!!
