Two short staycation were great
The speedy and courteous check in and the upkeep of the hotel since I visited a year ago is great. Breakfasts is sometimes busy. The 30th dloor exective lounge is great.

Good business hotel, convenient location, very good service
Another stay and again very satisfied. Good room with mountains view. Room was spacious, clean, well equipped and felt comfortable and welcoming. Check in was smooth, checkout could have been faster, the front desk person struggled a bit with address modification on the invoice. Nice exec lounge on 30th floor with a very friendly staff and good service.
Gym is not that large but well equipped.

Bed bugs and mold in the room
I started itching an hour after going to bed and found bed bugs in the room. I’ve attached the photos. There’s a cleanliness issue with this hotel and it smells really musty in the room like mildew and mold. As a Marriott platinum member, I would not stay here again.

Marriott Never Disappoints
Dear Hotel Team,
I truly appreciate the upgrade to a larger room and the inclusion of breakfast, even after I had cancelled my original corporate rate booking last minute & rebooked via 3rd party platform. This kind gesture meant a lot, especially as I was travelling with my elderly mother. The standing shower was also much more suitable and convenient for her compared to a bathtub.
Marriott has never disappointed me, whether in Los Angeles, Thailand, Taiwan or many other destinations.
I would also like to sincerely thank your Duty Manager on 14 May for assisting me in securing theatre tickets, which I had difficulty purchasing online from overseas. It was handled promptly with just a phone call and I am very grateful for the excellent service.
Overall, your customer service team including front desk to bell hop has been outstanding. I will definitely return with my family on our next trip.

Disappointed
One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was its location. The MRT, HSR, and bus station are all located directly beneath the hotel, which made it very convenient for me to take the HSR to Kaohsiung, especially since I was traveling with large luggage. Nangang Station is both the first and last stop, so you are almost guaranteed space for large luggage without any issues.
During my first stay, I spent three nights in room 2709. The room was spacious—nothing fancy, but it met standard expectations. However, the room smelled damp, so I requested an air purifier, which resolved the issue. The main problem I encountered was the extremely unstable room Wi-Fi and TV internet connection. Housekeeping had to come to my room multiple times to check and troubleshoot the Wi-Fi issues.
This problem continued during my second stay, six days later. I was assigned room 2809, the same room type as 2709, just one floor higher. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi connection was even worse than in my previous room. Housekeeping brought an AP router, but it still did not solve the issue. The following day, I was moved to room 2805, but there was little improvement. My computer still could not connect to the Wi-Fi, and the TV kept losing its signal. At that point, I gave up and stopped asking for assistance.
Aside from the Wi-Fi issues, the hotel staff and housekeeping team were generally very friendly and welcoming. As for the breakfast buffet, the food was quite tasteless, and about 98% of the items were identical every day. The only items I truly enjoyed were the passion fruit and grapes, which were very sweet.
This morning, I checked out at 5:00 a.m. and went down to the main floor to wait for my ride. The man at the front desk saw me with my luggage and asked if I needed to store it. I told him my ride would arrive in 10–15 minutes, so it was not necessary. What really bothered me was that I later saw him assisting a Western couple by carrying their luggage outside. The exit door is not automatic and requires pushing a heavy door manually.
When my ride arrived, this same staff member did not offer any assistance with my luggage, even though he saw me struggling with one large suitcase and two smaller ones. He continued using his cellphone and ignored me. This made me wonder whether there was racial or gender discrimination involved.
Overall, my stay at this hotel was not pleasant. While the location is excellent, I am not sure if I would choose to stay here again.
