Good location, one of the cheaper accommodation
Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is located opposite the train station which makes it very convenient. This is a budget hotel so.... expectations shouldn't be too high... Room is alright... Furniture is old... Will have second doubts if I will stay here next time..

good stay in taipei
short walk from songshan mrt station. taipei is a disabled-friendly city, but the entrance to the building does not have a ramp
depending on the receptionist at that time, there may be some difficulty conversing in english. but they use apps to help them, and they really try to help
the room is what's expected in the pictures, except for the hello kitty doll. we were excited to see this upon our arrival, and were even ready to buy it in case it's not free, but alas it seems to have been used for promotion only
the window has 2 screens: a privacy screen that distorts light both ways, and a wooden outer one. we had a clear view of taipei 101
internet was fast, as usual in taipei
there's a massage chair inside. not really a fan, but tried it a few times. used it as a chair for watching tv
tv's got a good mix of english and chinese channels. discovered masha and the bear here, which my kid loved
there's a ref, and a water dispenser
bathroom is on an elevated platform from the rest of the room. and it has no lock
they got shampoo and bath gel disponsers. water heaters responds well when you change the temp
mattress is a bit stiff for me. pillows were a bit too large for me, but was able to sleep well
breakfast is available, but it actually happens at capital hotel beside it. the receptionist will hand you coupons for this
wouldn't mind coming back to this hotel

I found this place by chance, and it appears that it doesn't advertise in English but the site was English - maybe Kayak? I can't remember on which website I found this hotel, but I'm glad I did. It was such a great deal, so cheap! Only about $50 per night. The location was phenomenal. Only a block away from the Songshan metro station. Two blocks away from Raohe St. Night Market. I was able to get everywhere very easily. I hopped on the metro to get to Taipei 101 (nice view of it from the park behind the hotel), the CKS Memorial, and Tamsui very easily in one day. After stuffing myself with yummy food for hours at the Raohe St. Night Market, I was minutes away from walking back to the hotel to pass out. It was great. Also, there is a restaurant (open street food type place with sidewalk tables) that was open at 3am. It appears to only be open late night. Lots of people were there, great food. The 7-11 is only one block away too. Because the Songshan main metro stop is close by, there are many shops and street food stalls within several blocks walking distance.
The staff were wonderful. My flight was delayed and I didn't arrive until after 2.00 am. They emailed me to make sure I was okay. They were friendly, assisted me with my luggage, and allowed me to have a delayed check-out, saying that I must be tired so they will let me rest longer. So nice! The room was very small (like many rooms in Taipei and Hong Kong) but very clean. I slept like a baby with the dark blackout shades and curtains. All the amenities worked and were available - hot water pot, toothbrush, comb, etc. Plus they had free tea bags and cookies!
If you Google search "best hotel" it won't show up. This hotel is only listed in Chinese. I don't what it's called or how it's pronounced in Chinese. But it is right next to the large Capitol Hotel. If you Google Search "Capitol Hotel" or show your taxi driver that hotel name, you should be able to find this hotel.
Also, on a side note, it's close to the Songshan Airport. It is very convenient to take the bus from Taoyuan to Songshan ($125), then take a cheap taxi ride to the hotel (about $150). If it's after midnight and the bus from Taoyuan to Songshan is no longer running, you can still take the bus from Taoyuan to the main Taipei Station ($125), then take a taxi from the main station to the hotel (about $250). It's way cheaper than taking a taxi from Taoyuan all the way into town. ($ currency is New Taiwan Dollar)

挺好，位置佳，交通方便，寸土寸金的台北就算不错，性价比高，台北车站，西门那边这个价格只能住上下铺多人间，我自己就图个清静
