IN SURINAME, OUT OF MANY , WE HAVE MANY CULTURES BUT ALL ROOTED IN THE INCREDIBLE SURINAMESE FRIENDLINESS & HOSPITALITY

The cultural nuances of this small country with multiple cultural influences could be felt on arrival at this delightful hotel at the UNESCO designated city centre of Paramaribo. The staff can be compared to a tree... the trunk personifying the gentleness the friendliness and family orientation of the surinamese people which they are .. but there are touches of Bihar, Java, Brasil, Africa which are like branches of this tree..

Past glory

This hotel is truly faded glory. Everything is old, the beds, the decor, like visiting your grandmother.
Sanitary with cracks, but clean.
We had a room with extra bed, which was far too small, no adult could fit in, Then we had to book an extra room to sleep decently. Staff extremely arrogant and unfriendly, except at breakfast, as everyone neat and nice.
The chambermaids wear an old Victorian outfit, complete with ruffle in the hair, really embarrassing.
Nice indoor pool, freezing outdoor pool with lots of wind.
No hotel I would recommend, lots
Nicer hotels nearby in terms of location and rooms. Far too expensive for what you get.

After carefully checking our booking records, we have been unable to match your name or the details described to a stay at Hotel Palacio.
Several points do not correspond with our property: we do not provide extra beds, we have no swimming pool—indoor or outdoor—and our team uniform does not match the Victorian-style uniforms described. We therefore believe this review may have been intended for another hotel.
Nevertheless, we take every comment about service and comfort seriously. As a small hotel in Paramaribo’s historic centre, we are committed to offering clean, comfortable rooms and warm, personal service.

Good Vibe Hotel Palacio

Perfect location Hotel Palacio. You can be at the Waterfront or Central Market in about 7 minutes. The staff at Hotel Palacio are very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is in very close in centrum, the staff is very friendly and is helpful. Room and bathroom is big, all rooms have aircondition.

Historic neighborhood gem

If you love staying in the historic parts of a city then this is the place for you. Our triple bedded room was very spacious and so was the bathroom. Big television and excellent working air conditioner. The only negatives were no safe in room, expensive breakfast, expensive coffee too.
