The hotel is in a great location and very clean. Staff were very helpful in arranging a late check out ( when our flight home was delayed by more than five hours) at a cost of 70CHF.
We got a free upgrade on check in which was lovely. Our room was very compact but with a comfy queen size bed. The shower is glass to the bedroom area ( with privacy curtains if wanted) and accessed via a very small toilet area with the wash hand basin located outside the toilet area in the main room walkway. The shower leaked into the toilet area ( under the door) when used and we had to mop this up with hand towels which was a nuisance . I didn’t really like the set up fir the toilet/ sink / shower snd would have preferred a more traditional bathroom layout .

Perfect location for our trip. Very close to the train and walkable area for sightseeing, shopping and dining. This was such a nice comfortable stay. Loved the movie theater. Cocktail lounge was fun and interesting. Small but functional room. Quiet for being in the city.

This hotel made the very odd decision to not have phones in the rooms, and to not even have a single one on each floor, by the elevator for example. The guest must therefore go down to the lobby for any request or question. I had to take the elevator down in my pajamas at one in the morning to ask how to turn the overhead lights off so we could sleep. This would seem like an obvious thing to figure out. It wasn't, as even the desk manager acknowledged as he rode up the elevator with me. He was perplexed why other guests had had the same question. I mentioned how odd and inconvenient it was that the hotel didn't have a phone in the room so I could have simply called down. He responded that it was a "concept" of the hotel to not disturb guests, and that most guests appreciated this.
When was the last time a hotel phone rang at an inopportune time and bothered you? My answer is never. How's this for a "concept:" put your guests' safety and convenience first.
And label your light switches if they're not intuitive. The manager pointed to four of them I asked about and said, "oh ignore those. They don't do anything."
Note that the hotel has only queen beds which can't be separated. If someone needs their own bed this is not the hotel for you.
The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and was recently updated. Breakfast was very good, and coffee drinks were made fresh at the bar for each person. Hotel is centrally located and it's an easy walk to sight-see.

Ruby Mimi is really well situated in the main shopping area and a short walk from the main strain station.
There is an excellent restaurant in same building as the hotel and guests get a 10% Discount. Breakfast was good although not included in our stay - 30 Swiss Frances per person.

The staff were very nice, rooms are super small. No refrigerator in the room. However the location was ideal
