A top quality hotel offering excellent value

The Belvedere is 150 years old and I have been staying at the hotel for 20 of those years, since 2006.
It combines the facilities and professionalism of a grand hotel with a relaxed and welcoming approach. The multi national staff - many of whom have been working at the hotel for a long time - are excellent , knowledgeable and invariably helpful. Meals are top quality: incredible variety of choices at breakfast, traditional afternoon snacks, and haute cuisine for the 5-course dinners (and dinners can be taken in the Guaradval and Belvair hotels in the same group). Rooms are very well appointed and customised if required (such as choice of pillows ). Secure and easy access to the adjoining spa facility (Bogn Engiadina) is free for quests staying more than three nights. as are local bus, train and cable car passes. For those who appreciate mineral waters, the source on the hiking trail from San Jon to the Lischana hut is not to be missed!
I look forward every year to enjoying the hotel and the surrounding mountains in a stunning area of natural beauty. My vigorous hiking days are behind me but there is so much else to do that the days just fly by. Over the years prices have risen only gradually reflecting low Swiss inflation. But taking account of the quality, variety and facilities, the hotel offers superb value for money. I can unreservedly recommend the Belvedere from my own long experience.

Bike tour

We arrived much too early because we had to cut our bike tour short due to bad weather. At the front desk, they did everything possible so that we could shower and use the bathroom before the rooms were ready.
Very accommodating and very friendly, the young gentleman at the front desk could read minds and was super friendly. Great job, thank you very much.
The dinner as well as the breakfast was also super delicious; the breakfast was very extensive, it was very hard to hold back in view of the upcoming next bike stage. Super.

Watch out!

Even if you reserve in advance in the restaurant part with wood, the hotel guests with half board obviously have priority and you are put in an ugly corner. Nobody liked the food.
