A very pleasant hotel

What a great hotel!!!
The hotel staff are very helpful. We had a reservation on booking that we couldn't cancel. The hotel agreed to refund us at no extra cost. That's very kind of them! Not many hotels would have done that. Many thanks again for your help.

Avoid…

Would not stop here or stay here. I do not write reviews ever but the complete disrespect we were treated with is so disappointing and really tainted our experience in this beautiful town. Many other incredible places in this town to eat and stay. Highly recommend Mimi’s lounge!!

Quiet with a view of the lake

I stayed a couple of nights in an excellent little apartment behind the building with the restaurant. There was a double bedroom and a bathroom with a room at the front with a small kitchenette and a place to sit. In addition there was a little terrace with a couple of chairs to sit and admire the view.
I'd happily stay again - it was peaceful, easy to reach by bus and perfect for a day of doing very little apart from stroll around the lake

Very average

We went to the Au Vieux Champex restaurant twice during our stay. The service was very average - the waiters were poorly trained and looked bored. When I asked for a sprite, I was given a spritz! The food was sort of ok so we returned another time, looking for a fondue after a day of hiking. What came along was hot water with mushrooms and some frozen meat slices. There was no cheese! We were charged $45 per person for what was a basic hot pot! Terrible. Won’t be returning.

Nice apartment

The apartment was a nice surprise after my previous night in a crowded auberge. It was clean and spacious, although I was travelling alone. I have seen some criticisms of the kitchen, but I did not use it. Breakfast was also good, if you like bread!
